Just left Juventus according to ssn transfer centre

28 year old swiss left back...

Would be a fantastic buy on a free and add competition!

Actually, a lot of that is due to the habit of big Italian clubs buying 3 players for each position and loaning them out until they need them.

Juve got him for nowt, and he's never even played a game, he was farmed out immediately.

That seems a bit extreme! No wonder there's no money in the league.

What do you make of this?

He looked really decent for Sampdoria, likes to get forward, as standard not exactly immaculate defensively, but he'd be really good cover for PVA.

We aren't actually linked though are we? Just a case of him being free and that being picked up by TBE.

It makes a kind of sense.

Buy a player for say £10m, loan him out to someone who pays his wages.
He doesn`t make progress, sell him on for what you paid, no loss.
He comes back a better player you`ve still only spent £10m. Play him or sell him for a profit.

Provided you`ve got the capital for the original outlay, no problem and maybe cheaper than an academy.

Dunno really, just an idle thought hoyed into the mix.

If he's proved unsuccessful and got nowhere near your team his value will more often than not go down though mate. Buy three players for 10m. If one gets nowhere near the other two you're not going to get the price you paid for the other two are you?
