Chambers getting an absolute rim job from both commentators on ITV. Funny how they didn't even pay any attention to him when he was playing for Saints.

Maybe because we had two decent CBs at the time and it would be a risk. Have to praise Wenger for giving the lad a chance (though he has also said that he sees Chambers as a midfielder).

I understand that you are unlikely to break up such a strong partnership as Lovren and Fonte, however there were times last year when we were short at centre back.

In fairness he is playing central defence and having a blinder which is something he never did for us

He was mentioned. He's now playing at a higher level, and at a higher profile, so is being mentioned more. Not sure how that's complicated?

I never said it was hard to understand. I said I found it humorous how with us he was just another nondescript player, now with Arsenal he's England's centre half saviour.

We couldn't say no, Chambers, Shaw, Prowse and Reed until his new contract all had release clauses. He also handed in a transfer request just to speed it along.

But he wasn't nondescript. He was mentioned quite a bit, hand in hand with our other teenage full back, just with slightly less profile (because he has a slightly smaller profile). You appear to be looking back with whatever the opposite of rose-tinted glasses is...
