It quite amusing how the English seem to have this idea that Scottish people hate then, yet on forums like these, and indeed this thread there is far more hatred coming from the English towards Scotland, and much more anti Scottish behaviour than vise versa.

Latest poll has "Yes" floundering in no mans land but if a few of the don't know decide to go yes then it will at least make the result more respectable. But some good info there for anyone who wants unbiased reading on the key issues.

So Spurf if Scotland do vote Yes and things get worse rather than so much better, as you seem confident about, what will you do then?
You give the impression that by going independent all the Scottish problems (caused by being part of the UK) are going to go away.
Or do you think it's worth the risk by seeing how it goes being independent and if it goes wrong then you would want to rejoin the UK?
As if it does go wrong maybe there would be a referendum in England, Wales and NI to see if we wanted Scotland back again?

If Independence was to happen then there is no trial period. Its a commitment to leaving the UK (forever) with no view of returning even if they realise it was a mistake. Like all political campaigns, they are made up of lies, the truth is stretched and votes are won from promises which are unrealistic or can't be kept but voters have to read between the lines and work out what is realistic and where the truth is being stretched and that is why we have the undecided voters, as its such a big step that many people still aren't decided.
Both sides are saying this is "forever" whether that is strictly true I'm not sure, but whatever happens there won't be another referendum for a very long time so there is no going back for this generation of voters.
Whether there is another referrendum or not depends on the result. YES is not going away whatever happens. These lies are only coming from one side 'The Establishment' as this is exposed so more and more are coming to YES.
The case for YES is overwhelming the only thing stopping the YES is the control of the MSM and Westminster's catalogue of lies. Their deseperation in wanting to keep Scotland shows the true position.
There is NO chance of an Independent Scotland wanting to come back. No where in the world has an Independent country voluntered to let another country govern it.

I don't think all problems will just fade away, nobody who is being realistic believes that. This is just Scotland wanting to be just the same as the hundreds of countries throughout the world who govern themselves.
It's simple the problems in Scotland are Scotland's problems and best sorted by the people of Scotland.
Talking of going wrong! The UK already has with 1.4 Trillion in debt that's about £20,000 for each and every one of us.
This debt is growing by billions all the time. Anyway look at the video it's all in there. 
Would you like England governed by Edinburgh? or Berlin? or Paris?
Main reason is because I believe Scotland will still have a healthy future as part of the UK. If I didn't then I would vote Yes. Overall when I look at all the key issues I believe Scotland is "better together". Its tricky going into too much detail as facts are few and far between (from both sides) as the debate so far has generally been the Yes campaign speaking from a overly positive view and the no campaign disputing these claims.
The Currency issue has certain people saying Scotland will keep the pound as part of the union. Others say they can keep the pound but only if they shadow the pound.
Even when you watch the debates you realise there are few facts so all I can say is I'm not convinced by the yes campaign and as someone who has lived in Scotland for awhile now, I don't see a desperation to move away from the UK and take a risk on independence.

My own view, as I have stated, is that it's for the Scottish people to decide. Rightly or wrongly, they are the only ones being asked. However, whichever way the vote goes it has to be the end of the matter, IMO. If, for instance the vote is No, I don't want to see Salmond agitating for another vote on the subject - I think he has to accept that that is what the people have decided. You can't keep going back time after time until you, hopefully, get the result you want.
I'm sure Salmond was trying to scaremonger scots by saying "this is your last/only chance for independence". Or did I misread that?
Not necessarily. If the vote is close (45/55) and then the promises of devolution plus are not forthcoming (given that is the carrot for people to vote No) then another vote in 5/10 years is very likely.
Possibly SD. I suppose a close vote would give Salmond the encouragement to try and push for another vote. Whether he would be granted another one, is another matter. Although I'm not sure I'd consider 45%-55% a close vote.
I agree there doesn't seem to be too many facts and until it happens it's hard to tell how exactly it will change life in Scotland and England.
My main 4 reasons are as follows
1. Taking Responsibility by moving all Governing Powers to Scotland
2. Get the Government we choose
3. No more building Nuclear Weapons
4. Scotland has the resources and finances
I also believe that the relationship between England and Scotland will be better then it is now with the feeling that's it's currently a forced political marriage.
From an English point of you, and this is not necessarily what I think, there is the feeling that the reason there are Scots that vote yes is basically an "up yours" to England. I understand what you are saying about Westminster controlling the decisions in Scotland but it's not like it's just English people making those decisions. As has been pointed out we have many Scottish Mp's and it wasn't long ago we had a Scottish prime minister.
I would say that the majority in England feel if the yes vote does win then they would like Scottish independence to fail and for there to be the realisation of what a mistake has been made. Imagine how the other members of the UK would feel if England decided to go it alone and leave the UK. There would be uproar!
