I suppose that I should be used to it by now. But supporting a team that never wins a game gets me pretty angry. We score the only goal in a game, but in the eyes of the media, the story is the same. QPR lost.

I said to my missus before I got to the football pages this morning, as much and guess what, Harry Kidnap words are sacred and Steve Bruce is relegated to a couple of lines.

Its the same I suppose for Swansea, yesterday they did us all a favour and showed that it does not matter how much you big up your players, manager and stadium, if you don't score you don't win. The end result though is an analyse of the failings of Man U not of how Swansea won.

QPR are not a bigger club and Kidnapp is not a better manager. Rio Ferguson gave a master class yesterday apparently, James Chester only scored, defended without conceding and even when found guilty by the ref was proved innocent, Ferdinand masterclass my arse.

In Swansea's case I accept the bigger story is Man U losing, to a degree. QPR are not Man U.

It riles me that shots on target are supposed to signify who the better team is. How does that work....one shot on target that is a goal is all you need, ask Fat Sam.

Yeh, but we were still crap in the first half. Against a slightly better team we would have lost the game in that half, so there is improvement to be made even though people won't see that now.
 
Winning under the radar again will do me...Wenger will probably forget who he's playing against when we visit the Emirates but who gives a ****
 
Anyone watching it? Joey Barton just said Steve Harper texted him after the game saying we knew where Austin was gonna put the penalty by his run up!! kinell
 
Football matches are won and lost on the pitch. Yesterday showed off all our strengths for those that want to see. We played badly in the first half and won, the sign of a good team. The response of our players at the end of the match said far more then acres of newsprint.

Match of the Day was funny, they don't really know what to say about us, long may it continue.

I think we are slowly building something special in Hull. Get the stuff off the pitch right and ................... who knows.

Our name probably suggest we should struggle this season
but our depth in the squad we have will hopefully prove otherwise
I think we can be more comparable to a West Ham or Sunderland

Couldn't have summed it up better myself but I don't expect the situation to change any time soon even if we manage to attain a position in the top half of the league, remember the fuss over how well Southampton did for reaching the heights they attained, and well done to them, but I don't expect us to get the same praise in the same situation.
 
even if City won BPL in 2017, to tie in with City Of Culture, we will never gain any recognition from the London centric press.

Totally agree, and as was pointed out by Omega Man, we never win, the opposition loose, and it rankles, it did back in BP days and still does now.
 
Linacre and co had jokey banter about Rio's shortcomings before saying 'Good win for Hull, that'

it will take a while for us to gain the recognition we deserve.
I wonder how long it took for Man U to go from their opponents losing to them winning.
Manchester went from a grim Northern town to a respectable shout for Englands second city.

I reckon that our coming runners up in FA Cup made the World sit up and take notice.
It must really grate the southerners that the north is starting to get a foothold in the BPL.
If it wasn't for European money, Newcastle would be in the same state as Middlesborough (as in depressed and dead)
