I don't think he'll flop mate, because I'm not sure many people are expecting him to be great. He wasn't immense for Monaco, he has a lot of pace but I don't think any educated fan would expect more than say 7/8 goals from him this season.

If he's their talisman for the season I'd be worried for them, but something tells me that Cabella will get Cisse firing again, I'm not sure, maybe it's just a hunch.

He's a totally selfish mercenary, like Borini, which is fine by me ....... I want to see players score for us, not marry them.

I never see our players kissing the badge anyway, if they score I'm usually rolling around the floor or abusing the opposition supporters <doh>

How come no one thinks Palace will struggle ......... some rank average players and only one signing so far, Campbell.

I think the novelty of Pulis will have worn off with the players and they'll be in a relegation battle.

    I agree, in fact, I think they're ****. Gonna play a 4-4-2, here's their front 6:

    Puncheon Jedinak Ledley Bolasie

    Chamakh Campbell.

Could you imagine this board if that were Sunderland's attacking players?

Adrenalin can only take you so far and Palace were poor in some of their later games.

Looks like they'll sign Martin Kelly from Liverpool to go with Brede Hangeland and Chris Kettings.

Looks like a relegation squad to me ...... as you say if it was Sunderland this board would have a black cloud over it.

Defense is really solid, add those guys to Ward (probably their best player) and the style they play, goals will always be difficult. Just don't see them scoring.

The hope is Riviere will get 10 goals for us. None of us expect more from him than that. We could do with another striker or else we will need goals from midfield. Hope your hunch over Cabella and Cisse is correct. We've done well to land Cabella in my opinion and he'll be off after a couple of years anyway <laugh>

It'll need to be, they'll be under a lot of pressure this season ........ I'd like Speroni to leave as well.

If he has an injury free season and avoids being decomposed by Pardew, he's a real contender for signing of the season for sure. I think I had a chat with Nads about Cabella a few year ago when we were discussing Giroud at Montpellier, he has always stood out for me as a class act, all the tekkers of Ben Arfa without the baggage seemingly. If Pardew could stop being such a hypocrite and play Ben Arfa in the same team as them, you'd not need another striker.

Pardew allowed for Ba to treat you lot like ****, he allowed for Cabaye to skive off the City game last season, he's allowed Coloccini to **** around for months on end so he should bite the bullet and get them two on the pitch together, if they click they'll be like watching Swan Lake mate.

10 goals would be a great return for Riviere, I reckon he'll start with 4 or 5 in his first 10-12 games and drop off scoring 3 or 4 more through the season.
