Forster is a lateral move right now, but there's the potential to be a trade up, and it was either we replace Boruc now or at the end of the year. Kind of makes sense to do it now, when we're rebuilding the entire team.

I'd rather keep some sort of stability and continuity in the side. Getting a capable backup keeper would cost much less and allow us to spend more money on areas of the team that need it more. Our quality and depth in attacking areas is piss poor right now.

I'm not going to complain about a signing but spending £10m on a keeper when we already have a great first choice seems a bit odd, especially when you think we've only spent £8m on one striker even though we didn't really have any at the start of the summer.

Boruc is getting on, we need a younger first choice and Forster is the perfect option.

I really don't get why people don't think we need another keeper. Boruc wasn't that good at the end of last season and I think Gazziniga seem to concede almost every time a shot was on target

Happy with this one. This lad seems like he has the makings of a top keeper. Only 26, so £10m for a potential starter for the next 10 years, isn't too bad.

He's really not that old for a goalkeeper. I just think we need other players more. When Koeman came in our first choice striker was Sam Gallagher for goodness sake. And who are our first choice (fit) wingers? Tadic and... Isgrove?
