Who will be the first manager to get sacked?

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Aug 7, 2014.

  1. Fat Sam - probably the bookies' favourite, but I think the pornographers will be wary about getting rid of someone who was born to clog out the results necessary to ensure Prem survival. Yes, the fans want attractive football, but they'll know that that will come at the cost of relegation, because the Spanners simply do not have the class to survive at this level without playing the long-ball game, and Fat Sam is the best in the business at that.

Van Gaal - No, don't laugh! Think about it. He's taking over the biggest club in the world and the fans want results. Imagine Van Gaal has a mare and, by the New Year, is getting worst results than Moyes did at the same stage! The press and the fans will turn on him like a rabid pack of hyenas, especially as Van Gaal has the worst barnet in footballing history, and speaks with a pornographer's Dutch accent. He'll be an easy target for ridicule.

The Smug One - my own personal favourite. Mad Dog, as we all know, wants and expects to win everything, all the time. There is absolutely no point trying to reason with him, because he doesn't understand what it is to be reasonable - that's why he's mad. He's sacked managers before breakfast before now, even before they've started the job. He's completely mental. The Smug One was lucky to escape last season's fiasco (in Mad Dog terms), finishing a very poor 3rd behind Goofy's 'Pool. What saved him was undoubtedly the fact that Arsenal did their usual spectacular bottle-job and started running backwards down the league after Xmas. The Smug One was able to pretend that it was due to his tactical genius and special brand of mind-games that prevented Chavs from finishing 4th. Another repeat of that, and The Smug One can expect to receive a bullet in the post (Mad Dog's version of the P45).

Roy Rodgers - Mousers and the 'Pool loving media don't seem to realize that 'Pool managed a top 4 finish last season only because Goofy had probably the best season he will ever have, and (surprisingly) turned out to be one of the best strikers in the entire world. They all think that that's how 'Pool will continue to play without Goofy, with respected club legends such as Hansen, Lawro, Barnes, Redknapp and Collymore all predicting that 'Pool will not only finish in the top 4, but have a chance of winning the league! When Rodger's steers his side (and the club's fortunes) back to 7th, everyone will turn on him and he will be crucified, and left to "walk alone" in the wilderness (as did Roy "the gent" Hodgson). And when 'Pool are humiliated in the CL, it will be a media blood-bath! So, do not count out an early managerial exit for Roy (Rodgers).

Levy - Yes, I know he's not a manager as such, but he is very much the reason why our club is in such an awful mess. With fan-pressure already building on Mini-Me Levy, another manager-sacking will surely mean the end for him? Come on, lads! It can't be the manager's fault every single time, can it? Jol, Ramos, Redknapp, AVB, Sherwood - the list is almost endless. Ergo, I don't think it will be Poch who will walk (in the event that we screw up this coming season), but Levy, himself. Enough is enough!

I'm trying to be as impartial and objective, here, as I can. So, can I please ask that there be no wumming on this thread?

Now, all that remains is for you, please, to cast your votes!

Gus Poyet because after Sunderland's barnstorming finish last season methinks in a few matches they will land on their arses with a thump and out he will go.

Fat Sam before the Smug One but the others will stay.

How are Spurs in a mess? Lecy has made mistakes but no1 can deny we have made massive strides forward on & off the pitch since ENIC took over.

When he was appointed first thought was "thats West Brom relegated".

Fat Sam is the other favourite as he has been instructed to play more attractive football, Sheringham has been hired as an attacking coach and that is just set up for him to be undermined and go against everything Fat Sam stands for!

Fat Sam for me. Hammers fans (well, the ones I know anyway - which is a fair few unfortunately) don't want him.

I reckon Fat Sam will struggle to get them playing good entertaining football. Can't see him lasting more than a few months.

I agree mate, Pullis is a one trick pony and will get found out, unlike Pulis who is a superb manager that we will regret overlooking!

Paul Lambert. Awfully overrated manager with the personality of a broken lamp post.

HIAG, been saying for a while that Jose and his little pony could be a casualty. All it will take is the evil baron Russiankovich to buy a player he demands, not the manager. (remember Chevchenko?) and Jose will gets the sulks and refuse to play him. Added to that Jose carries a lot of baggage these days, and his mind games no longer fool the opposition, in fact they just make him look foolish

Odds on a return of Avram Grant?

not sure if Jose will be the first to go, but certainly a contender for the top 10 casualties. Doubt if Brenda will get the push, it might ruin the sales of the book for coming second

Okay, who will be the second manager to move on? Any chance another will quit before the first is sacked?
