Seeing Chris Hughton at the Lane on Sunday, I was surprised no one's picked him up yet.

A mouser 'mate' of mine was eager for them to get him before Rogers got the job.

Surely Palace would be happy to have him?

Hughton shouldn't have to wait long for an opening, as some managers are struggling badly already, but there's quite a queue for every job.
Somewhere like Fulham might be ideal for him and could also be good for us, as we'd have someone with a big connection to Spurs at a local Championship side.
They seem to need a bit of strengthening and we're always looking to get youngsters loaned to decent footballing sides, especially those in London.

  4. Right, let's recap on something I wrote in my OP...

"Van Gaal - No, don't laugh! Think about it. He's taking over the biggest club in the world and the fans want results. Imagine Van Gaal has a mare and, by the New Year, is getting worst results than Moyes did at the same stage! The press and the fans will turn on him like a rabid pack of hyenas, especially as Van Gaal has the worst barnet in footballing history, and speaks with a pornographer's Dutch accent. He'll be an easy target for ridicule." (The wise words of HIAG, football punit and guru, and legend)

Go on, admit it! Some of you thought I was on the wum when I wrote those words, didn't you?

    Well, who's laughing now?

Even Chuckles will have to admit that he got it completely wrong about me. I'm not so proud that I won't accept his heartfelt apology.

    As for United supporters... <rofl>
Welcome to the world of relegation battles!

Van Gaal's hair also seems to be getting higher with every game. He's slowly taking on the appearance of a startled owl.

  6. Joking aside, what if United go on to do a Leeds United!

I don't think I'd ever return from the cock-clinic! Or, at least, if I did return, you'd have to call me HIAGetta.

According to The Independent, Pardew is two games away from the sack. Couldn't happen to a "nicer" bloke!...

I expect that the party in Newcastle will be heard down in London.

I see on the Newcastle board they're already spelling his name P45dew <laugh>

I don't like Pardew, by any means, but I think that he deserves some time to bed in the new signings that they made in the summer.
Ashley's clearly changed their business model to a far more sustainable one in recent years and it largely seems to be working.
They've got some decent players there, but quite a few of the better ones are new. They're not going to instantly perform wonders.

Pardew's not very popular amongst the Geordies and I can understand that, but I'm not sure who they could bring in to improve them dramatically.
Who's available that would go there now, especially at such an odd point of the season?
Yes Boss, we all know who you'll be recommending! <laugh>

I'm taking solace in the fact that no matter the disappointment expressed by some on here about recent goings on at Spurs, its nowhere near as bad as Newcastle! Having been to uni up there I know a fair few Geordies and the unholy trinity of Ashley/Pardew/Kinnear (even though the latter is gone) is now the combined public enemy number one on Tyneside. The levels of dislike on show towards them are astonishingly intense. They are very, very passionate about Newcastle United up there. There'll be dancing in the streets if Pardew goes, and if Ashley sells up.....I think we'd see the biggest firework show since the Beijing Olympics.

Pardew's looking very likely, as Solskjaer and Magath both bite the bullet on the same day. There'll be CVs flying all over the place tonight.

Pulis' phone should be ringing off the hook by now. If not, these clubs must be ran by clowns. Oh hang on, they are sorry!

    Stoke 1-0 Newcastle.

If it finishes like this then I think Pardew will be gone by lunchtime tomorrow.

Newcastle lose again, 1-0. By this time tomorrow we should find out if fat Mike was joking, or not!...

I thought it would be Poyet but I'm close, it's the North East. Cheerio Pardew, it was less than average knowing you.

The decent thing for Ashley to do would be to sack Pardew and apologise for his outburst on the weekend. He's helping no one by keeping Pardew in a job and worse still, people(including myself) are starting to feel sorry for the ****.

I feel sorry for Newcastle fans. We think we have problems, but Ashley for an owner and Pardew as your manager - it doesn't get much worse than that!
