We only have two men to thank for this cockup Malky & Moody. The more that comes out about their dealing the more I thank god Tan got rid.
I am not a fan of Malky and Moody but when signing these players do you not think we may have been forced to insert the clauses by the agents or players themselves ?
You may be right there Eldon but once you get a name as an easy touch agents have a field day.
There are to many clauses coming out for it to be a coincidence.
Campbell was the one that i reckon was the real piss take £800000 for a player easily worth £2 million.
Were the clauses put in by the previous management ??

Surely the flip side is that MM signed him as a pretty much unknown player and we've just sold him for £6m with only a year left on his contract. He was probably worth nearer £10m if we'd managed his contract better (whoever's responsibility that was

Anyway.....I think he'll end up as an international & playing at a top club, eventually...lets hope we've negotiated a large sell-on clause.

If, as alleged there was a £5M + minor add-ons release clause in his contract with us, all QPR would have to do would be to meet that (same as Caulker) and City couldn't negotiate anything.

Not really Dai. With Mutch and Adeyami we go in looking to sign a player with obvious PL potential. The possibility to play at the top end of the PL.
Then we try to sign them on a fee based purely on what they've currently proven and the financial position of the selling club. The sell on splits the risk on both sides, we don't have to pay a higher fee based on the players potential whilst the selling club cover themselves for the players probable progression.
The 'success' of the Mutch deal from Brum's point of view will probably increase their willingness to accept similar terms for Adeyami.
McCormack was 15% Nin, but 20% of the profit on Mutch is not at all bad when you consider that some were fearing a much higher percentage.
