The thing you've got ask yourself is why is a London based newspaper and an English radio station which takes it's name from being based "in the heart of England" commissioning polls about Scottish independence?

Presumably because if Scotland does leave the UK then it will have an impact on everybody. We mightn't get a vote (and i agree we shouldn't) but we're entitled to an opinion on it.

But they weren't asking a question that was particularly relevant to English people. Why would Heart FM pay a polling company to ask Scottish people if they would leave Scotland in the event of a Yes vote? Does that not strike you as a bit odd?

Do Heart FM regularly pay pollsters to ask political questions? I don't know of any other commercial radio station that does it.

 

Ahem. First up, as you'll already have gathered I didn't read the article I assumed, quite reasonably, that an English radio station was asking english people their views on it and that would not have struck me as odd. However, after what you've now said i agree that it is completely bizarre.

Lots of reasons . Mainly I was raising a family and my work is here . Circumstances have changed though .All my kids are up and away and I am financially pretty well off . I should be able to retire in a few years time all going well.

This country is a ****hole . There maybe a chance to change it if we vote yes . If we vote No then things will only get worse imo .

I fancy Cyprus but I'm open to offers.
