Yeah, but they got Pulis, who's one of the few English managers I rate almost as high as Pearson! We have enough quality to survive, the ONLY thing that may be a worry is the depth of the squad, which will only be a major problem if we get injuries or go on cup runs. Losing players in January may also be a problem, although that will be more troubling next summer.
If you don't want to be treated as a WUM, please elaborate on this point. In what way is it not good enough? Where in particular do you see our weaknesses? Are you assuming we aren't strong enough because we haven't signed any established Prem players? If not, then why do you assume our current team isn't good enough? And how much of us did you see of us last season to draw these conclusions?
All these crap were not good enough If Vardy, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Knockaert, James etc. make the transition to the Prem like we suspect they can then there is plenty of quality within our ranks to do well. Last season proved we had a premier league team playing in the championship hence why we ran away with the league. Goalkeeper wise we have no worries in the slightest with Kasper and Hamer Defence i would defo want a left back and maybe a centre half Midfield i would like someone because if Drinkwater gets injured were in big trouble. King can cover James but no one covers Drinky Wingers Mahrez, Knockaert are unknown qualities at this level. They could destroy teams or struggle. Both have bags of ability so there more then capable. Albrighton is proven with Villa Strikers while it seems we want another im perfectly happy with our current options. Ulloa scored goals in La Liga and the championship and if Vardy keeps his belief from last season he will do very well. Nugent and Wood both capable back up aswell as GTF So overall we look in very good shape but still need 2 or 3 players to add cover and competition
This is a good post & sums LC up quite well. Message to 'other fans' posting on this thread. We all want our managers to sign top players but in reality it´s just not that simple. We (LC) have built on what we had last season carefully because we don´t want to upset our `togetherness´ & `team spirit`. I agree we need to address our DEF, I've been saying this since day 1. Sure up the DEF, get another 1 or 2 others in in others positions & I really do think we will stay up & then it´s about building even further, but 1 step at a time.
it's still way to early and you could still bring in the players to see you alright , defensive reinforcements are a must ,you at present just simply don't have enough quality at the back to keep the goals out , a premier league midfielder in the middle of the park wouldn't go a miss either to help with what you already have.
Your squad lacks Premier League experience, it's really important that you have some in your first season. Drinkwater and James may be brilliant players in the future, they need an experienced midfielder around them though so that they can flourish. I firmly believe that if we didn't sign Huddlestone and Livermore, we would have gone down. Not a lot of us thought Meyler would cut it in the Prem, a first season with Huddlestone and Livermore next to him proved otherwise. Without Premier League experience I think some of your players will get caught out, that's the only thing QPR have on you at the moment. I've seen you play a bit on The Football League Show, I know that's not enough to make a good judgement though. I've looked over your squad and I don't see much Premier League experience, the players you say are your better ones have no Premier League experience at all. If you signed an experienced midfielder, some new centre-backs, a left-back, a winger and another striker I think you'll be good to go.
With all respect Patches we don't need as many as you have just listed but the point of experience is valid as that was the difference the season just gone to te one before, the addition of experience. We have player such as De Laet, Nuge, Kasper, Konchesky who have played there plus players like Wes who plays international and champions league experience in Was as well as our management and coaches such as Pearson and Phillips having made careers there so one or two additions and we'll be good
Premier League experience isnt as important as your making out. Nowhere near Its a good things to have but by no means crucial
Some of your fans think you will do a Southampton, the squad that you have now could very well do a Derby. If you think your squad is ready then good luck to you.
Watch many Leicester games last season I take it then? Don't feed the troll or are you Charlie's new alter ego?
Yaawwwwwn! You're getting boring now - go away and learn the art of successful wumming, come back then
I'll take most comments on our squad "no way near being good enough" with a pinch of salt, as we were "no way near good enough" and "would be lucky to finish in the playoffs" last season, and we seemed to do okay then
