I feel the beautiful game is dying on it's feet, not one these getaway players has shown any respect or thoughts for the fans, they have all trodden the same path, gimme, gimme. gimme.
I actually really think Krueger hit the nail on the head. They want to take a short cut to CL football. If they are that good, how come we finished 8th??
Or there's another way of looking at it. He came to Southampton because he thought it was the best thing for his career. He stayed at Southampton because he thought it was the best thing for his career. He wants to leave Southampton because he thinks it's the best thing for his career. In that context there is no time or specific thought for Southampton fans. They might as well be from anywhere. There is no specific time for Southampton FC, only when it suits him. At the moment, it doesn't suit him. To a certain extent, it's another Puncheon situation. Only Puncheon behaved better in the long run. Morgan undoubtedly feels short-changed and cheated at this moment in time. Just imagine how a Saints fan feels Morgan. We have to pay too much for the privilege of supporting you. So we get short-changed and cheated every day and we don't have jobs in which we are happy enough to do for nothing** either. **so footballers say about their work.
MS said he would see how it goes and he waited quietly, the board have sold 5 and bought in 2 with possibly 2 or 3 to come in, MS doesn't see this as ambition. Now we're being told MS is not for sale after racking in a fortune. Maybe the board should have got their finger out if they wanted to save him. I think our wages will always be a big part the problem, If we wanted to be top 6 then we have to pay like top 6. I've lost no respect for him (yet) , he has been a great player for us (I hope he stays).
I have lost all respect for not just him, but all footballers. I genuinely was proud to be a saints fan last season, we play English players, dive and cheat less, and all our players deserved our respect. Turns out that they were all ****s just like the rest of the footballing world. Also; another massive congratulations to Kruger for publically saying Morgan will stay before confirming that with Morgan himself. Really top notch stuff again from our board.
If you read the Kruger returns thread you will see that Morgan was told at the weekend BEFORE these interviews.
I can't be bothered to go through the whole thread but does anyone know what happened in the hour. Just a little overview of what's happening if anyone knows. I know a couple of you know your fair share of info. Thanks in advance.
He was told he's not going anywhere, when in fact he believed he'd turn up to get confirmation of the bid acceptance. The simple fact is that Spurs don't have the $$ we want. Arsenal might take advantage of this situation, though. Whatever a certain Mr Clown said, Morgan won't be here come SEPTEMBER ONE.
Oh dear. Quick to get the pistols out. Judge and jury again. Check this out first before shooting them. He was told at the weekend; public announcement on Tuesday. I'll start your apology "Dear mr Krueger..."
I agree with that "yet". Let's see how he deals with this in the weeks to come. I can forgive one twatter outburst easily enough.
Morgan was wrong side of the door when it slammed shut...**** happens...live with it. Tweet just upset the fans, but then no sign that any player considered us. He can get passed this, but does he want to? De Gaulle never forgave the British for liberating France....expect a long Gallic funk.
Is there any point in Spider staying? An awesome player who has shown great dedication to this football club over the years. But his game relies upon a lot of hard work and doing the thankless tasks for the team. If he wants to leave and lacks motivation then his performances will suffer more noticeably than it would in other positions imho.
If he wants the move eventually, he'd better keep his form. He's going to cost a fair whack even with two years left on his contract come next summer, so he needs to be on top of his game or potential suitors will buy cheaper alternatives. For all my saying he's our best player, he's not Messi.
