McShane at left back with Rosie on the bench ???

3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1

Think Bruce will do what he tends to do and play the players that got us into Europe when possible.

___________McGregor
_______Chester Bruce Davies
Elmo Meyler Huddlestone Livermore Brady
__________Long Jelavic

Considering our Europa League entry may have been a factor on Snodgers and Ince signing, I find it hard to believe they won't feature.

Im sure they'll come on as a sub in the game and probably start the 2nd leg, i just think Bruce is that kind of guy. He did it at the start of the season against Chelsea, and he did it in the fa cup.

McGregor

Chester Bruce Davies

Elmo Livermore Huddlestone Snodgrass Brady

Ince Long

Jakupovic Rosenior McShane Meyler Quinn Aluko Jelavic

On the basis that Bruce's post-Barnsley interview suggested thursday might be too soon for Davies, Meyler and Jelavic...

------------ McGregor
-----Chester - Bruce - McShane
Elmo - Livermore - Huddlestone - Brady
------------ Snodgrass
------ Long ----------- Ince

Though he did also mention McGregor and Bruce Jnr had knocks, so if all of them miss it perhaps it'll be something like this:

------------ Jakupovic
Elmo - Chester - McShane - Rosenior
Snodgrass - Livermore - Huddlestone - Ince
-------- Long --------- Aluko

Not what I'd go for but i think Bruce will go for

McGregor
Elmo Davies (McShane if injured) Chester Rosenior
Snodgrass Huddlestone Livermore Ince
Aluko
Long

Harper Bruce McShane Meyler Brady Sagbo Jelavic

Jak

Elmo Chester Mcshane Rosie

Snoddy Huddlestone Livermore Brady

Ince

Long

i think we got Bruce , Greggsie Meyler and Davies injured or at least doubtful havnt we ?

also , this Slovakian side Trencin . . . what league would they fit into if they played in the English leagues ????

That was different, Huddlestone and Livermore had just joined that week, Sondgrass and Ince have had a full pre-season so they won't need a gradual introduction.

Still, Chazz is right, it's impossible to say what Bruce will do re the strength of the team. I can't see why you wouldn't play your best team but the apparent apathy about the fixture makes me think he might almost treat it as a friendly...

It's hard to say what our best XI will be. I reckon Long and Jelavic will surely still play most games, Hudd and Jake have to be in midfield so that just leaves two wide spots for Snodgrass and Ince/Brady? Wouldn't be too surprised to see Ince have to fight his way in.
