Said it once, said it a thousand times, having players on social media... is brilliant! They are all mental.
Prove they didn't. Why assume they didn't tell him that they wanted him to stay? It's been reported around way prior to this that he was seen as a key man to keep.
Because if you're going to make a bold, definitive statement on national TV I think it'd probably make sense to make sure there wouldn't be a player meltdown first.
Beefy was rightSkySportsAmy: "Tweet from Schneiderlin was in response to a meeting with Saints bosses about his future today"
Can't really blame Morgan for being mad. I'd be pretty mad, too if the club sold all of my teammates and my chances of playing for France and a raise just took a huge blow. He probably deserved a move more than others, and now he's going to have a harder time leaving because he stayed silent instead of acting like a brat at the first opportunity. It's pretty apparent to me that the players honestly feel like promises were broken. A lot of that might be Cortese's fault, but from the player point of view not sure it makes much difference. So yeah... I'm gonna give him a pass on the tweet as long as it ends there.
I think most footballers have an average IQ of about 57, letting them use social media is like letting a 5 year old play with matches.
He can't, because Krueger finally made a definitive statement and we're stuck with him. Oh hilarious irony.
Did feel that he was the most deserving of a move, but it's not as if he is in white slavery. he is well paid and has been told he is too important to lose...an under the breath 'bugger' is sufficient. How dare he diss Saints by suggesting that staying here is something terrible.
I can't. I suspect he wasn't. Communication in the club, by all the evidence, is not that great, and Morgan's reaction seems like he just heard something unexpected, as if he was played. And that's remains the same even if he was told. And no it wasn't reported he's seen as a key man to keep up until earlier today.
Au contraire (as Morgan would say), masterstroke...he either stays or all blame will be placed squarely on his shoulders.
