I have no problem with those bookies odds ... they are more or less where I'd expect them to be from a bookmaking (not necessarily footballing) perspective ... and no they are not always the same. The fact that they have less than 4 points separating 10 teams demonstrates that, Burnley apart, they expect this to be an incredibly close call.

The value bet there may be Southampton ... they look like they will be losing their 5 or 6 most influential players before the season starts ... it will take them time to forge a new first team.

They've already lost 5/6, it looks like they'll lose more, Liverpool are in for Rodriguez now.

They've got plenty of money to spend and a decent manager, but replacing that many bodies in one go is a really tall order.

Really?.......Really? I admire your optimism but it is wonderfully misguided. If you finish 12th or above then I will be astonished. Nothing against Leicester, you're just being very naive.

You'll finish 17th, providing 2 other clubs are going to be just as awful as Burnley.

I've simply given my opinion I'm comfortable with the fact we will avoid relegation. We have a team at leicester that on its day will snatch points off any team in the division. On the other hand I don't expect to last the season without a embarrassing score line or two. I just think we will snatch more points than we take beatings. The premier league always throws up a couple of surprises before the end of the season. Why shouldn't leicester be one of them.

That is the odds for relegation and they're from SkyBet.

Maybe it's being affected by signings, it looks like we've secured two more today(actually one yesterday and one today).

It also looks like Troy Deeney is off to QPR, but I doubt it will affect their odds much.

As it currently stands, you've signed Ince and we've signed Ulloa since those last odds, so I don't think signings will have had that much effect. Perhaps a lot of money has gone down on Leicester in the Humberside area! <laugh>

I wouldn't read too much into bookies picks anyway - last season was one of the first in several years that we weren't fancied for promotion, and look what happened.

If Ince had the pick of 50% of the Premier League, why did he pick Hull? <laugh>

It was the bottom 50%.
We have European football which the others didn't, at least for the next couple of weeks we do.
His agent and dad is best mates with our manager, they were even on holiday together at the start of the summer.

Why he turned down Inter Milan to join us I'm less sure of.

This poll might have been more interesting for results if the midtable option had been split into 2. I doubt anyone seriously thinks you're going to finish in the top section, and there's so many horrible to watch teams people hope as much as believe they're going down.

I have to say I voted relegation. Statistically it's the most likely result, but I don't really care. As long as we don't do a Derby, I think the players should just relish playing in the best division in the world (**** off Spain and Germany, 2 teams doesn't mean a division).

Fair enough if you vote `bottom 3`. A number of ppl will be saying this leading up to the start of the season.
I think 3 of Burnley, Sthampton, WBA, WHU, Sun´land, QPR & Swansea will go down & we´ll be around 15th. If we carry on like last season with our fighting spirit we´ll do o.k. All the players are playing for their places so it´s up to them to grasp this chance & become prem players for a 2nd season.

Sounded to me like he didn't go t Inter because of family reasons. Still think Newcastle would have been a better option than Hull though, although perhaps he thinks he'll get more first team action with you. And that fact that Newcastle are a disaster waiting to happen maybe also played a factor.

Not sure it is. Seems like the average survival rate is two of the promoted three (66%). Occasionally, all three survive, but I think (without checking) the last time all three promoted clubs went back down was 1998 (Barnsley, Palace, Bolton). We should do the better of the three promoted clubs, providing QPR don't do some amazing last minute business.

Second season syndrome seems the current biggest threat for promoted clubs, as I think Hull and Palace will find out - I don't think either will do as well as last year.

Surprised Hull didnt go for Redmond rather than Ince, One smelly fish place to another. Much better prospect than Ince as well.

@RobbieSavage8: As it stands what's your early relegation tips ?

@RobbieSavage8: Villa, WBA, burnley , saints 3 out of those 4 ??

Sorted <ok>

If Villa lose Benteke they will have big problems. Randy Lerner wouldn't even cough up the money to offer Marc Albrighton a new deal

This thread is the footballing equivalent of two tramps fighting over a kebab. Realistically you're both going down <ok>

Scrotum Face and his band of merry mercenaries will be occupying one of the relegation spots, that is a certainty.
