However even the great aspas could not lean like this boy. He really threw hs heart and soul into the leans. However all that will missing from his contract signing was his tongue sticking out as he concentrated real hard on making that x on the paper... worrying. Ayre is too boozed up with folwer to sign anyone and woke up yesterday with a baby and a tiger in his hotel room... plus nobody can find borini, seems to have gone missing over night... or am i confusing LFC with a story from the movies.
 
Not a massive Lovren fan but he's here now so I'll get behind him and look at the positives.

He's a leader who can communicate with both Sakho and Skrtel, being fluent in a number of languages. He may be very experienced as a LCB but can play RCB so brings some versatility.

Also, feel bad for Remy - hard to find a striker of his quality at that price but I do hope we have a very good replacement lined up. Please not Bony or Jay Rodriguez ...
 
Cannot believe we're supposedly going back for another southampton player... how embarrassing. Borini's started his summer job in B&Q so won't be around much.

For the record, I'd put Hernandez in the same pile as Bony, Remy and Jay Rodrigez!!!
 
Problem we have is whoever we approach will know they will be behind Sturridge and fighting with Lambert, borini, Sterling, etc for either a place on the bench or a start alongside Sturridge. Any striker in the 40 to 50 million bracket will want to be 1st choice.

but... what if you buy benzema.. who's to say sturridge is the be all and end all and nobody can displace him.. IMO for this role we ought to be buying top quality.

I mean CBs are joining despite skertl and agger so why would a top striker not come. I'd not be in the slightest bit worried if i were a top striker at the names you quoted.
 
People make too much of Balotelli's antics, most of it was just irrelevant **** like giving money to tramps and setting off fireworks in his bathroom, none of our business.

He got a couple of reds for petulance, hardly the first player to do that

Then there were the numerous training ground bust ups, the total break down in team cohesion and the multiple public fall outs with the manager while at city - have no idea if this continued in Milan but they're pretty keen to offload!! <laugh>

The large amount of non-descript performances would be the bigger killer for me.

And to be fair, fighting with the manager on the training fround is sort-of the club's business.

Would you be happy if Arsenal bought him, as has been rumoured?
