Hernandez is a solid underrated player but he's not the high profile signing we're all really hoping for behind our muted excitement and attempts to distract ourselves with lesser lights.
He's decent but I think his play is more the style of taking advantage of mistakes and opportunities. Our style is either counter attack with pace or build up with patient possession, neither of which he suits. We don't tend to just throw the ball in and see what happens which is how Hernandez poaches his goals.
Right, I'm not saying we should be in for him which we def shouldn't, rather that he's the level of player we constantly end up with, the Suarez's of this world excepted. I think we've made a couple of decent buys so far but I think our profile on the global stage is really affecting us as a draw for the top top players, along with our financial strategy (which is sensible in itself)
