I never said they would fail, I said Snodgrass is better than them going by the evidence.

Nobody knows mate, experience isn't always everything and Snoddy came to the prem at a similar age if not later than most of our team so nobody knows until the season starts and a few games are played, the only thing about coming across as writing our players off is that potentially (only potentially) you could look quite silly. I just know if rather have players such as we have than over payed premadonas like DQPR have but for the record I think Hull's squad is looking quite good

Thanks mate. I'm not attacking Leicester or its players, I'm just giving an honest opinion regarding your squad and where I think you will finish. I would rather be in your position than QPR's, but I'd rather be in our position than yours. If you sign some experienced players you will do okay at this level, James and Drinkwater are talented, young players but a good Premier League midfield needs an experienced midfielder.

I think we're going about it the right way and I think and hope we are better off than Burnley as QPR so judging by how close things we're last year I think all Leicester fans hope someone like West Brom or Villa carry on their slides as both are overdue to go down

I think Villa will go down, I don't think they'll survive another year with the amount of youngsters they have and the lack of experience in their ranks.

Two proven average players versus two unproven but potentially explosive players. You say you'd rather take the safe option (which might not be enough to keep you up). I and most Leicester fans would rather take potential (although it's not that much of a risk, as they have proven they are clearly too good for the Championship, which means there's only one place to go). So guess what? We're both happy. The end.

I guess we are both happy. If you think James, Drinkwater and Mahrez are good enough then that's all that matters, six easy points for the Tigers as well!

Huddlestone aside I wouldn't swap any of your midfielders for them. Drinkwater is a better all round player then Huddlestone due to his lack of mobility. The thing about our players they all evolved massively last season hence why we completely cruised the league from start to finish. Your judging us based a 17 game spell still

You want to write us off then that's your call but we're no one's mugs

I love how you dismiss players you know nothing about! <laugh>

Mahrez and Drinkwater will definitely cut it. We had some Hull fans on here during the season that had watched Drinkwater and predicted he'd play for England one day, so not even all you're fellow fans agree with you there.

    As for James, we'll see.

Not sure why we are even debating this ... Lionel Messi may well be better than 'everyone' in our squad (assuming he's also brilliant between the sticks) but Snodgrass and/or Tom Ince? ... not really a pre-cursor to rationale debate ... don't mind anyone coming on here and engaging in a sensible discussion but let's not get over bothered by such parochial nonsense ... we have every reason to be optimistic about the coming season and personally I would not swap our squad for Villa's, Hull's, WBA's, West Ham's, Sunderland's, Stoke's, QPR's, Burnley's, Stoke's, Palace's, Sunderland's or what my be left at Southampton.

Now that doesn't mean that I necessarily think we will finish above all of those ... but I'd much prefer to watch ours ... and that, for the avoidance of doubt, is purely MY OPINION <laugh>

Patches would rather have Snodgrass than Messi. Because Snoddy is proven in the Prem, Messi isn't. At least, that's what "the evidence" tells him.

Really?.......Really? I admire your optimism but it is wonderfully misguided. If you finish 12th or above then I will be astonished. Nothing against Leicester, you're just being very naive.

You'll finish 17th, providing 2 other clubs are going to be just as awful as Burnley.

And how can you say that that? You dont know much about our squad and you dont know exactly how strong we are compared to other teams. The only thing people have to go on which your conveniently ignoring is the fact we won the league with 102 points last year which means we are one of the strongest teams ever to come out of the championship and into the prem. Where that will see us end up next season is anyone guess but finishing anywhere from 8-20 is realistic for pretty much anyone because there is never alot between them clubs

    For relegation?

I checked a week or so ago, on SkyBet I think, and they had us and Hull the same odds for relegation.

Not as naïve as predicting that we will finish in 17th (or indeed any other specific position) when a) the league hasn't even started, b) you know vey little (and that's being generous) about our team and squad c) you have a vested interest in us struggling because your team will (like at least nine others) be competing in a mini-league from mid-way to the bottom of the table ...

That is the odds for relegation and they're from SkyBet.

Maybe it's being affected by signings, it looks like we've secured two more today(actually one yesterday and one today).

It also looks like Troy Deeney is off to QPR, but I doubt it will affect their odds much.

I have no problem with those bookies odds ... they are more or less where I'd expect them to be from a bookmaking (not necessarily footballing) perspective ... and no they are not always the same. The fact that they have less than 4 points separating 10 teams demonstrates that, Burnley apart, they expect this to be an incredibly close call.

The value bet there may be Southampton ... they look like they will be losing their 5 or 6 most influential players before the season starts ... it will take them time to forge a new first team.
