So anyhoo the so called economy eh . Better than before the crash. Fastest growing economy in the G7. Good times for all.

Bullshit.

It's growth built on moonbeams. A house of cards of which a slight breeze of higher interest rates is on it's way to blow it all away.

Button up boys . Things sre gonne get messy pretty fast , very soon.

The irony being that people in Edinburgh consider themselves to be English.

Bunch of Hooray Henry's and Henriettas.

Even in the 30's it was always London's fault...http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/history/mwh/britain/depressionrev1.shtml

New industry
In the south-east of England where new light industries such as chemicals, electrical goods and automobiles had been developed, families were affluent. In fact, people with jobs benefited from the Depression because prices fell and they could buy more! <laugh>

While up in Scotland...http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/scottishhistory/modern/intro_modern2.shtml

Glasgow was the corpse of an industrial city, devoid of the spirit of industry, with slums and razor gangs becoming the enduring images of the age.

Child allowances, state retirement pensions and unemployment benefit shortly followed Labour‘s victory, with the crowning achievement in the form of the NHS coming in 1948. These state benefits and schemes were vital to the survival of Scotland.

Vote for Independence...you sure?...go for it i say.

If Scotland says Naw, when would they get their next chance at independence? Would it be another 35 years?
