Yes but we all know you need cover. Who is now our reserve RB? Its the lack of movement in that is so worrying.
Yes you need cover, but when both players want to be first team it's impossible to keep them both happy. I had a feeling one would go this summer due to this fact. Would be nice to bring in some cover or have a budding young right back coming through the ranks.
Another youngster by the name of James McCarthy. He has looked decent in pre season! Can't blame chambers for leaving.. We are not a big enough club to keep hold of 2 amazing Players in a position of RB.
Now I am angry. RB was the area we had covered. Don't care if he wanted to leave...he is a young player who has just broken into the first team...he should have been told to show some loyalty and told no. We have trouble getting players of the right quality in, so should hold onto players at this level. It looks like we are going for total team rebuilding...hope Koeman is happy with this.

£16m is a massive fee though. Maybe Ron thinks McCarthy is as good> What is keeping me sane is Rons pedigree. He didnt come for a relegation dogfight.
I think Ron is being strung along. They ask him can you manage without player X if we get a replacement in....and so on. Who next? Too many going out without replacements already in. How is he expected to prepare without his team in place? We should get players in first and players should be told there is no chance of a move until we can manage without them. I wouldn't be surprised if he left...is this what he signed up for?
Getting serious? Get a grip. There so many more serious things in the world. Bebe'so transfer is different. They sold him for 2 million, I doubt any club buying a player for 15+ million will want to put that in the transfer. It just doesn't make economical sense.
But we can manage without chambers... We have Clyne and McCarthy as cover, you can't keep two top right backs happy at a club like ours.
I said yesterday that I remained confident as I was so happy with Ron's appointment and the 2 purchases we had made, but everyone has a tipping point. Not quite in meltdown, but my consistency is more jelly like today (though stiffened by anger).
Well its getting a bit perverse with Arsenal, its embarrassing. Of course they won't care. I'll reserve my total disappointment until the beginning of the season and who we have in, but its not good is it.
