Tony Evans of the times is reporting that there may be a softening on our position with Reina. Of the 3 keepers in the US, he reports, Reina is by far the best and that Mignolet is not fancied: 'doesn't talk, doesn't direct defence, doesn't dominate area, slow off the line'. Could Reina still be in with a chance? His stats in Italy apparently were't that impressive. Do we look to sign a good keeper and sell Reina? If so who? Top keepers are really hard to find!....Chelsea might have one available soon!
Of no one comes in for Reina I'd like to see him govern a chance IF he knuckles down and shows he wants to be at the club. Brod may be softening with him but is Pepe doing the same for BR?
I think Reina is consistently on record as saying he wants to end his career in Spain. As long as he tries his best, who could we get for the money that Reina would command? (£4m)....nobody! I still reckon he'll be off though!
I'm confused, from the op T Evans (I saw these tweets too) makes out like the three keepers have been training together over in the US and Reina has looked the best... Except Mignolet has only just tweeted that he's leaving for US today. Unless I read it wrong it sounds more like Evans drunken wishful rantings again rather than any actual knowledge. And apparently BR has yet to speak to Reina...bit odd for a softening stance if the guys right there and you dint speak to him.
Or did he mean Reina looked the best over Jones the guy happy to sit on his arse his entire career and some 18 year old reserve guy? Well that's stating the obvious since Jones was Reinas number 2.
i thought he was already there, may be going mad but i swear i saw him in the roma game on the bench.(not to play obviously)
