Can we get back to the unbiased discussion of Liverpool the football club, city and people. If we carry on talking about moderators eventually I'm going to be mentioned but I already know what a superb job I'm doing so there's no need <ok>

Liverpool selling Borini to Sunderland for £14m and buying Remy from QPR for £8.5m. Brown envelopes involved, surely?

  10. Liverpool’s new signing Emre Can has already been hailed as ‘better than Yaya Toure and Zinedine Zidane’ by fans, after making his brief debut for the Reds. (Liverpool fans' claims)

    <rofl>

I nearly cried when I read that!

These are the same Mousers who, every year, put their dole money and shirts on 'Pool winning the title.

I may, occasionally, make an errant prediction, but at least my predictions are based on some kind of unbiased logic.

    Gotta love the metro haha

Same paper that said cannabis killed a young woman after smoking a whole 8th, wouldn't wipe my arse with it for fear of making a better front page than they usually provide. :D

It seemed that everyone I talked to in London was polite and helpful, both last year and nearly half a century ago, from what little I can remember.

I think what shocked me most redwhiteandermblue, is that as an outsider from the sticks, you sort of expect Londoners to be stressed out with all the hassle. I suppose they are used to it, whereas us "peasants" find the driving through London a nightmare.

In reverse, the worst thing for me in an area I know, are grandparents taking the grandchildren out for a drive in the country. Even worse it they happen to be weekend shed draggers

I say with full conviction that CAN IS BETTER THAN ZIDANE!!!!
Zidane hasn't kicked a ball competitively in 8 years. I highly doubt he is a match for Emre Can these days. That said, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a Liverpool fan who really thinks Can is better than Toure. Maybe there's one or two... but there again, I know a United fan who thinks that Carrick is the world's greatest midfielder... I daresay there exists Spurs fans who think that Spurs has one or two players capable of playing for a top 4 team too! <whistle>

Every club has overly optimistic fans that make silly statements about their own players!

...But absolutely! Can is better than Pele, Maradonna, and Zidane! <ok>

I think Woy Hodgson being the crappest manager our fine nation has ever had had a little something to do with it too! ;)

The only thing that can ever come from a team managed by Woy and captained by slippy G,
    is this very article,

    I suppose that's true! <laugh>

Still- England has dropped quicker in rankings under Woy than any previous manager. Dropped 15 places in the world rankings in the 2 years since Woy took over. Only a couple of times since rankings began have England dipped 20th or lower in the world.

England is not what it should be at the moment! I think there are several players that need to retire- and a manager that does too!

    It's alright, then main culprit's gone! <whistle>

No idea how Hodgson survived that dire showing, though. Failed to win a single match and finished bottom of the group.
It's arguable that he only managed to scrape a point because the other team had already qualified and only needed a draw to finish top and that was Costa bloody Rica B.
