Both tap ins but it proves that he gets in the right positions. Give him service, he will finish. Something we failed to do for him last season was to take advantage of his good movement.

Well happy for him. Hope he continues to score as preseason goes on :-)

He also had an assist. It could well be our intended style this year will play more into RVW's strengths and he will be able to display his obvious talent.

Braintree may well be poor, but lest we forget we lost to a team in their league (who Braintree beat away from home in April) not so long ago in a competitive football match...

Good solid pre-season result against a team no doubt up for it. Fantastic to see RvW on the scoresheet twice!

All he was missing last year was the service!!! <ok>

Just seen the goals on youtube. Some good finishes. Lafferty free kick was good.

Murphy's cross (think it was Murphy) for RvWs 2nd goal was class and the finish was very much like Sturridge's vs Italy. Good movement to peel away to the back post and as many have alluded to, all he needed was the service.

I looked but didn`t find it ...Link please

Pilks and Tettey both travelled by the way and would have played, but I believe Pilks picked up an illness, and Tettey's knee became inflamed on the coach up. Tettey would have been fit enough to play a league game, but was rested as it wasn't worth the risk.

I wish we could play with a squad of 23 with rotating subs every game, bloody brilliant from Lafferty Surman and RVW...

Looking forward to seeing the team in the friendly against Celta Vigo on 1st Aug - have my ticket already and looks like there will be quite a few there.
