I spoke to Jos at the Southampton Awards evening back in May, he said that he felt his time as a Southampton player was up and options were being sorted for him to move on. However after watching the short YouTube interview with Jos, it seems that he is staying. My question is, do you think he will still be a Southampton player come the end of the transfer window?
He remains a Southampton player for the time being. Much like Billy Sharp. Until moves develop he is contracted to the club.
Yeah think so, but he may go on loan in January to a Championship side. He'll be 4th/5th choice by August 31st.
Either way, this'll be his last season. Contract expires in May. Love Jos, but sadly he isn't up to the standard we want. Would be surprised to see him moved on anytime soon though.
More important off the pitch than on and that´s not good for a footballer really. Will have problem to find anyone wanting to pay the same wages so I think he will have to stick around or maybe go out on loan if we get another CB in (Or two if Lovren leaves)
Seems to me that with Foxy and Guly gone, our neggies desperately need a target to heap the blame upon, Jos is the man for the job, big shoulders, great temperament, the dross will be like water of a ducks back to him, besides he said on the vid that he is helping RonKo with some translation, who needs David?
I actually think he's an awful lot more sensitive to criticism than you may think........if there was ever a confidence player......
All humans are sensitive to criticism. Some have thicker skins than others, but if people are continuously telling you you're crap, your confidence is going to drain away. On the other hand if people are constantly telling you you're wonderful, you're probably going to turn into an absolute tosser.
Imagine being so surrounded by sycophants that no one has the backbone to tell you your beard's crap. And why hasn't his missus said anything?
