I appreciate this is obviously a touchy subject at the moment but I was chatting with people at work today around Liverpool 's pursuit of a forth southampton player. To start with if could be seen as a good thing that a club like Liverpool is interested in our players as it's a sign of how far we have come and the quality of players we are bringing through and identifying players in the transfer market. However they successfully got arguably our two most influential players and have now unsettled our best centre back and are clearly attempting to unsettle another player via the press today. Have they now crossed the line and is now seems disrespectful on what southampton have achieved and what they are trying achieve by attempting to cherry pick the best players and to do this they are obviously using the press to negatively impact our squad as a whole not just on an individual player. Sorry when on a bit there just wondering other people's views
It might not all be Liverpool. No doubt they've come after Lambert, Lallana and Lovren, but the Jayrod thing could just be paper talk.
Talking of Liverpool - Rickie has turned up for pre-season training a week early as he'd finished his holidays already.
If Liverpool are so impressed with the Southampton way of playing why didn't they go after the biggest contributor to our style? No, Rodgers may be throwing money around but even he's not stupid enough to have talked himself out of a job and suggest the board go after Pochetino. I can't deny I'll be taking a look at how our old boys do. Good luck Ricky. Lallana, for me is mostly guilty of not being too bright business wise and taking some incredibly shabby advice re his move. I genuinely think he did appreciate his time us. Only Saints really matter to me but also keeping an eye on Sturridge too seeing as he's really an England star. Disappointing conversion rate at WC, would be great if J Rod's performances outshine him in the PL (as long as J Rod is still a saint of course)

No they are not. No they don't. If Saints were buying a couple of players and looking to buy more from a team beneath us in the table and from a club smaller than ourselves, I doubt any of our fans would care less.
I'd suggest they've done enough to win their opening fixture of the season. Can't see us doing a job at anfield this year - much as I'd like us to. Mind you it did cost them 30m to do it. Maybe 55m if lovren goes too. Expensive points.
