That's bonkers.

I can highly recommend a book about the conflict in Sierra Leone called A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah. It's an incredible, emotional, terrifying and uplifting story about being enlisted as a child soldier - really puts films like Blood Diamond (which is a way off the truth) into perspective.

Damn you hate Blood Diamond.

As I've said before, if you ever want to know about Sierra Leone - go and check out 'Cry Freetown' by Sorious Samura.

Think I've posted it in here before?

I'm going to Latitude festival in a few days, apart from the obvious headliners and subheadliners would anyone recommend any bands in particular?

I'm not reading through it all because **** it, but I read the first couple of stages. I saw Phosphorescent play live once, he's pretty chill, good way to start a day at a festival I'd imagine. I'd also recommend Mogwai over TDCC but that all comes down to personal tastes. Also maybe Anna Calvi. Avoid Nick Helm at all costs.

Avoid Nick Helm? I liked him in Uncle, is his stand up not worth it then?

Yeah I'm having the Mogwai TDCC debate myself, leaning towards TDCC since I've seen neither before.

Things I Learned Today:

1) "Berk" is rhyming slang for ****. Genuinely didn't know that.

Are you sure?

I always thought it was "grumble" as featured in Callan when he knocks on Lonely's door and shouts out " Open up or have you got some grumble in there?".

If you don't get it then ask me.
