Leicester are interested in QPR striker Charlie Austin and would be willing to pay up to £6million for the 25-year-old according to the Sun.
Sunderland preparing a bid as well... http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/0...d-prepare-move-for-qpr-striker-charlie-austin
If it was for a bigger side, or for a lot more dosh in his pay packet every week, I would wish him good luck and say go for it..........but it isn't.
We can turn it down because Charlie's our player, he's not looking to go anywhere, he's settled in London, he loves QPR, is part of a very close, friendly dressing room, and realistically, swapping QPR for either Sunderland or Leicester is hardly going to give him regular first team football or a better chance of PL survival. He's not a mercenary either, and family men tend not to be the sort to make rash decisions over moves.
Reported that wages are the main stumbling block to Remy moving, Arsenal won't pay him £80k a week...
IF Remy is definitely going to stay, but absolutely only IF....then we could cash in on our striker unproven at this level........
I reckon Austin will do well in the PL, he's a natural predator like Ricky Lambert. We should keep him at all costs...
I don't see any mileage in it. Im not going to debate his ability but anyone would be stupid to pay 6M for Austin because of his injuries His value to you will be a lot more then he is true value anyway so we would have to overpay to sign him
