You've also lodged bids for Lovren, Markovich and Origi, which amount to a further £54M So that's £93M, that was never going to be your net budget mate, come off it, so you are already well on with re-investing the cash - which is the sensible thing to do anyway.
We've spent £39m and are currently bidding another £26m (Markovich and Origi). Rejected bids don't affect the budget. That's £65m, which is already about covered by CL money and increased PL money.
The Budget was rumoured to be £60m, so only £30m of your figures would be coming from the Suarez fee, which is likely to be 70-80. Hardly 'Well on the way' a little dabble perhaps. And the Lovern transfer might not happen as the two clubs don't agree on price and as of yet there is no formal bid on the table, one rejected bid, so that takes it back down to 5-10mil over the budget.

IMO the budget was supposed to be 20mil per window. we spent nothing in january therefore there was certainly to my mind 40mil to spend. the 60million budget was "rumoured" based on CL and no-body club related or "close to" really confirmed so much. however.... prebite. moreno 16mil.. trying to work installment fee. lallana was 20-25mil can was 10 mil mr labert was 4. so call that 55million pre sales. Therefore if lovern who was mooted was to be ough you'd assume either we've blown more on some guys than we wanted or an agger or skertl sale was factored in. Markovic, 20mil Orgili 6mil? ... Agreed... Based on "assumed" budget before sale of Suarez, I think if/when we sign Lovren, Moreno, Being John Malkovic, Origi, we'd have eaten a fair bit into what we'll get for Suarez.. However, the likes of.. Agger Lucas Pepe Assaidi Suso? Coates Maybe sold too, the above should bring in close to 30m...
