Dark Souls is still expensive because it's bloody brilliant. And soul-crushingly hard.

Hey, Pie! I've just been enjoying the depths of The Black Gulch area...and took on the Rotten! What a delightful area and boss. He is my favourite boss by far so far!

Up until now I thought the bosses hadn't been quite as good as DS1, but Rotten I absolutely adored, what a beast! I love how these games are such a labour of love at times, they really are fiendishly difficult and so frustrating sometimes, but you keep coming back because it is such a damn fine game! The best thing is, like DS1, you love it so much that to play it again in NG+ is just as awesome and more of a challenge.

I need this game don't I.

Yes mate, you do! Once you really get into it, it's like a game you have never played before. At least, it's been that way for me with those 2 games. It's hard to explain!

Hey, I have an idea. Seeing as my brother got me DS2 for my birthday I said he could have DS1 if he wanted, I'm always trying to get people to play it! Thing is, it's not really his bag, I just know it isn't, so I'll ask him if he really will play it. If he's not fussed then I'm more than happy to pass it on to you to enjoy and then you can pass it on to anyone else on here if they want it, once you have finished with it?
Of course it only applies if you want it on PS3 <laugh>

What an offer! Thanks! Let your bro have it first though and see if he likes it.

When I offered it to him it was only a gesture, he hardly every plays ps3 these day, when I was on the other day I noticed he hasn't been online for months now. These days he prefers his Need For Speed games, and FIFA etc, so it would be somewhat wasted on him anyway and he wouldn't mind me saying so. Like I say, I'll ask him anyway and if he won't appreciate it then I'm all for passing it on to someone else for them to enjoy, or anyone else for that matter.

Hopefully it will prompt you to buy DS2 and then pass it along, and the seed it will plant, to another! Or, if you hate it, you can pass it on straight away, satisfied that you at least sampled it :)

It can be my gift to the not606 community haha

shotgun after joe

Sure man! It may as well get some use, I'll never sell it or trade it as they give you nothing for games these days, and it's a classic too so would feel wrong to do that. Would rather other people get to try it that it sit there and gather dust.

Man I'm dreading the day (soon) that I'm going to have to get a job. I'm going to miss being drunk on weeknights :(

Shotgun after MMJ. Also shotgun his PS3.

Excellent! A third person. If Joe wants it, he should get first dibs obviously, and then you two. There is an online element, which is not separate but part of your main story, you don't have to use it but it can help you a whole load with summoning other players online. I'm sure the online community is still thriving even though DS2 is out now, so that will be there if you choose to use it.

Edit: Dan you were posting Watch Dogs stuff the other day weren't you, so have a PS4? With that luxury on your hands you can afford to wait your turn <laugh>

I don't actually want it - I mean, I do, but no PS3 :(

Don't be silly - my body can take it twice a week and it's a bit older than yours.
