Anfield. Stoppage time. Decides to catch Liverpool off guard with a forward run, receives the ball at the edge of the box, dummies a shot and then jinks between the two centre-backs leaving Lovren on his arse and places it deftly in the bottom corner. Does some backflips in front of the Kop.
He looks a very good prospect, depends how much Derby want, but I suspect 7 figures. For that kind of money we would want a guaranteed first teamer and I don't know if he is quite ready to be more than a squad player in the premier league. Personally I think we should invest in players like this but I can understand if the club bulk at the price.
I don't mean this as any discredit to the original poster, but aren't these threads becoming a bit tedious? "Why not put in a cheeky bid for..." etc, it's not Soccer Manager lads. Talking about who you think should be sighted as replacements...Witsel, Micah Richards, Blind, Rodwell? Tenuous links at best but mainly just an unrealistic wish list. Meh, it passes the time I guess.
He signed a new contract last week. I know that contracts don't mean too much but I expect he will be there a little while now!
