1979, Watford's promotion push faltered slightly....

Just looked up the results from 78-79 and there was a run of score draws around Dec/Jan time but after that there were a couple of 1-0 defeats to Southend and Exter, so I'm guessing that it's one of their keepers, especially if they saved an IB pen.

No - it wasn't about a keeper.

His comment was aimed at a particular player, but was more a comment about the team as a whole.
 
Looks like I'll have to give up on this one...

The words were spoken by Ian Bolton about Ross Jenkins whilst he (Bolton) was injured and having to watch from the stands. The team were going through a 'sticky patch' and Bolton was less than impressed with the way they were playing.
