Targett is isn't ready for full time first team play.

So in your opinion what is he lacking?
When Shaw broke into the first team his defending was somewhat ropey, but that changed in short order. Is it Targetts defending, positioning or attacking thats the problem, you say he has a lovely delivery on him but does he get forward enough to use it? he seems a big lad but is he suffering growing pains or is he slow? Would a run in the first team bring him on or set him back? I have never seen him play so have no idea

I just think he needs to be gradually moved into the first team. There isn't really anything that concerns me, I just feel he is one of them types of players.

Not really seen him myself but I remember when people asked on here if Shaw was ready yet after playing in a cup game people said he wasn't ready. A few months later he was displacing Fox permanently. I guess its the risk with players at this age. They either slide in as if they had been there since year dot or they struggle to raise their game to the level they are now playing at. Could do with a left back that can cross though :)

Nah I see a lot of academy footy. I kept saying how good Shaw was, Targett for me anyways needs time.

So what's the problem? We then pay in instalments.

Indeed we could. I was merely pointing out that our bank account is unlikely to look suddenly £100m better off. Also since RK has already highlighted what we still owe, they might adopt a 'pay now' rather than instalments policy.

Its a business a sale is a sale and goes in the ledger as such. the payment of it is seperate. We buy players in installments, we sell players in installments. we have £120m coming in on paper and thats all that really matters unless a club that owes us goes bust. That just finance.
