favourites for the drop this year in my book - think they'll struggle to attract decent signatures this summer...
from what I have heard its a definate 3 way battle for cressy, with sham, WBA and the saints. Odds on whoever don't get him will go for olsson because he is premier class. Apparently we are interested in his brother Marcus to replace cressy.
Olsson will cost a lot more than Cresswell.can't see any of the above agreeing to our terms, though soton have a few spare quid I suppose.
They have got a hell of a rebuilding to do, but I reckon koeman will pick up a few bargains from holland.
would that be matthew targett? bloody hell he is good - seriously - brilliant prospect. not sure how saints keep churning these kids out!
how much are they talking for cresswell? £3-4m? would be a good guide for olsson should he leave. olsson is the better player but there isn't a huge amount in it to be honest. if cresswell went for say £4m i'd expect £6m for olsson given we don't need to sell
Apparently QPR bosses are trying to veto 'Arry signing Rio - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/rio-ferdinands-qpr-transfer-faces-3801331
rumours are saying in excess of 2million whatever that means, so probably 2.5ish. I would have rated him more but thats life.
Seriously £2-2.5mil?? Surely you could get more than that for him!!?? You can now see why we told wet sham to get lost with there lousy offers for Olsson.
It appears that Norwich and Bournemouth have both bid in the region of £3m for Coventry's Callum Wilson: http://the72.co.uk/2014/07/03/coventry-give-permission-to-two-clubs-to-speak-to-wilson/? No confirmation of this yet but if it happens at least one of our strikers could be likely to leave?
Thats what the BBC are saying, but now there is rumours that we have cleared 3.5 million and Wet Sham have paid Tranmere the 20%. so it could be anything. There is also a rumour its 2.5 million with Ravel Morrison thrown in, but I think we can discount that one.
You may be right OCF, but there's no guarantee that RvW is staying either. Worth remembering that both Grabban and Wilson are equally comfortable out wide, especially in a 4-3-3 or similar formation. Might Adams be thinking of converting Elliot Bennett to a FB/WB to replace Martin?
How do you know he isn't in the market for midfielders too? Believe it or not, other things go on behind the scenes that don't necessarily appear in the papers.
We don't, but what we've got is sufficient also I think RVW and Hooper will do well next season, I'd dread to see them leave as they've been around for a bit and always find it's a nightmare for players to settle sometimes. The main problem last season wasn't the lack of goals it was the lack of chances from the midfield, we need decisive and creative midfielders and two centre backs once that is sorted I think we might do alright.
