Also, if di Maria is available for £40 million we should be all over that. Especially if Santi leaves.
Big Khedira bonus is the rapport he already has with Ãzil and co. He's a consumate professional with bags of experience and I think would give us some mental strength which we lack. To be fair though, most of the names we've come up with would be awesome. Bender, Gustavo, Khedira etc etc. Likelihood is we'll be lucky to get Schneiderlin!
Barcelona have confirmed they've received offers for Sanchez http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/01/barce...rpool-transfer-target-alexis-sanchez-4783005/
http://www.eveningecho.ie/2014/07/01/arsenal-set-make-offer-lenihan/ Saw this elsewhere, so Arsene's great idea for a RB is an irish kid
Apparently Betvictor have suspended betting onus signing Debuchy. http://soccersweep.com/bookie-suspends-betting-on-debuchy-to-arsenal/? Also we have opened the biddingon Sanchez http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/01/arsenal-make-19-4million-transfer-offer-for-barcelona-winger-alexis-sanchez-4783413/? Just watched the paper review on SkySports and Barca are holding talks in London with Liverpool over the Suarez transfer, could be time for a taxi full of money to be sent to the hotel and steal the deal.
I'm concerned that Barca and Liverpool will use Sanchez as part of the Suarez deal. Let's hope Sanchez digs his heals in and says Arsenal or no move.
I got a feeling one of our attacking midfielders will be leaving if we sign Sanchez, because we're also getting Campbell back too, I think Cazorla could be a possibility to leave, even though he signed a new contract he was giving off sound bytes to Athletico Madrid before the World Cup.
Brenda now being linked with a move for Balo, time to drive the Sanchez move through. As mentioned by A87 I feel some will be leaving, but if the quality improves it will only make the squad stronger.
Cazorla wasn't giving off sound bytes apparently it was "friends & family" even though there were no actual quotes.Don't forget he only signed s new contract in March.
It's more likely we'd lose someone like Podolski if we had to make room for Sanchez. Which we don't as our squad is thin on the ground...
Didn't that come from some French twitter ITK? All signs point to Liverpool being his likely destination
If we get Khedira and Sanchez, I can see TWO players leaving, can't see us having 6 potential wingers in Sanchez, Campbell, Walcott, OXO, Podolski, and Cazorla. I think out of that bunch Cazorla would be the likely one to leave. Then if we sign Khedira one of the trio of Flamini-Diaby-Arteta would have to go, and wouldn't be surprised if it was Flamini. But I doubt we will get Khedira or Sanchez, , I think our main activity will Campbell coming back, a rb, a striker, and a number 2 GK. It's highly unlike Wenger to go out and purchase 3 mega superstar signings, which is what Khedira, Sanchez, and a top class striker would represent.
I think there was a quote straight from him in which he talked up Athletico as being a very nice club and he would assess things after the WC. To be honest, if we did get Sanchez, it wouldn't be the end of the world in losing Cazorla.
Barca, before the World Cup, apparently touted him for 25m Euros (£19m). How is that our fault if we have again offered the asking price? I don't doubt after his performance that valuation will have an extra £5-10 added to it but I still think he's worth the monies. Regarding the Cazorla debate he can also play centrally so I think he's more use than a number of the six listed by Arsenal87. Also, before the transfer window started Wenger actually said we were after a DM. He actually said it! He didn't add "but we have to sell to make room", he identified it as a position that needed strengthening. Along with a RB, forward and keeper. I can't see us having to sell a midfielder to make room for a new addition. We had to bring in an injured Kim Kallstrom last season ffs!
