Linked with Keylor Navas. Would take without even a pause. Get him and Joel, and we can boost Costa Rican interest in the club. Nevermind that both are damn good. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...rsenal-are-reportedly-looking-at-9572778.html
More on Debuchy from Le Figaro. http://sport24.lefigaro.fr/football/transferts/actualites/le-journal-du-mercato-30-06-702122 Time for the not606 servers to go into meltdown as we are linked with everyone.
Im already getting impatient. Transfer window is open Mr Wenger. Khedira Sanchez Debuchy Mandzukic Boom.
They are exactly the calibre of player we should be signing, and I would argue we also need to sign a keeper. Would prefer Debuchy to Aurier as I feel he has the experience of the PL and offers more in defence.
Nothing wrong with signing Debuchy imo. Heard a lot saying he's not fit to lace Sagna's boots but he's currently keeping him out of the French squad so obviously isn't all bad. He's an experienced player with EPL seasons under his belt and I think he'd slot into the side easily. Only real issue I have is his age but maybe Wenger is hoping either Bellerin or Jenkinson will have stepped up by then. Assuming it goes ahead obviously.
I don't want us to sign Khedira, we would have been better off with Fabregas considering the money. Khedira isn't the type of player that he's commonly portrayed as.
I know what you mean he's not that defensively minded but its unlikely Wenger will sign a traditional holding player. A box to box is far more likely. I would love Lars Bender at Arsenal but I won't be surprised if we need up with Matuidi instead.
We were heavily linked with Matuidi in the past. After watching him in the world cup he has been decent.
I think we will end up signing Schneiderlin for the 'holding role' which i would be more than happy with. If we miss out on Sanchez I would like us to go for Di Maria who is allegedly available this summer. Still, I would rather we stumped up £30,000,000 for Sanchez instead of risking Liverpool signing him.
I'm not overly convinced Matuidi or Sneiderlin would improve our side at all. I think Arteta/Wilshere are all of a better standard and can play the same role. For me a Bender/Khedira/Gustavo would offer the team more.
On a pessimistic note,Sanchez may end up as part of any deal to take Suarez to Barcelona which we'll have no say in On a far more optimistic note,Sanchez has supposedly said that he has no interest in joining Liverpool.
I would rather we signed Bender or Gustavo over Schneiderlin but i do think he would be an improvement on Arteta and for me Wilshere is competing with Ramsey and Ozil for a place in the team. I guess what it boils down to is how ambitious Wenger will be with his signings.
If it's true that he would rather join us than Liverpool then hopefully he will rule out moving to Liverpool completely and force Barca to let him join us instead. They can then use the money to put towards Suarez. I just hope someone like City or PSG don't come in with a ridiculous offer for him and blow us out of the water....
It was being reported by a very good source of mine Joking apart the rumour was being reported by both French & Spanish journalists
I imagine Barca would rather he went to us for financial reasons. If we can pay cash monies up front it gives them more negotiating room when trying to get Suarez. If they have to see Sanchez go the other way it would be a bit messier all round. As a complete aside, do Barca still owe us monies from both the Song and Fabregas deals?
I think he'll get the right man this time around, but if it does end up being a box to box player I wouldn't say no to Matuidi. I'd have him over Khedira personally, but he only recently signed a contract extension with PSG so I can't see them letting him go unless they get their hands on Pogba.
