The fact those men were nasty is irrelevant. Communism is meant to do away with the State and figures of authority, not put some weird dictator in charge.
Capitalism, as a concept, is based on greed and individualism. It encourages people to be ****s to each other. Communism is completely different.

I think you completely miss the point of individualistic Capitalism. It's not that we all look after only ourselves, it's that we are free to look after whatever interests us - so for instance you are free to to campaign for a cancer charity, or you are free to put the same money into your childrens education - or you could spend all your energies fighting for action on climate change. Individualism is the spontaneous organisation of people into their own groups dependent on their own desires and a society that allows them to follow their own desires - Collectivism is the state driving what it thinks will benefit everyone (whether it be cancer research, or climate change, or great leaps forward...).
And I already explained that I was not talking about concepts or doctrines but that quote itself.
