I've just re-looked at the video of Romeo as a foal. Do you still have him?Just the one this year Janabelle. A repeat mating that produced Romeo (if you remember that one). She is due on July 14th

Moderate first half...hard to know what to make of the Dusssshhhh...either kicking lumps out of people or shamelessly diving.
Either way they have been disappointing thus far.
Rubbish!
Great comeback by Holland, what a game! Shows European teams can do it, even under oppressive conditions. Mexico played well but the only way they seemed able to stop Robben was to foul him. They got away with until the last minute when it was one foul too much. Bravo Holland, brave performance!![]()
Robben is a cheating little ****er, always has been always will be. I do hope the Dutch go out to a dubious penalty awarded against them.
Yes. We wouldn't be letting any go until they are at least 2 years old. For the time being, our foals are bred as part of a long term breeding plan so we would only part with them if we had an offer we couldn't refuse and had the breeding line covered. Romeo, being the first son of our homebred stallion and the first son of our Dancing Brave granddaughter, is special to us and won't be going anywhere.I've just re-looked at the video of Romeo as a foal. That penalty did look like a dive. But earlier there was a very clumsy lunge on Robben in the penalty area which, had he just kept running, would have resulted in a cast iron penalty. But, the little f**ker, leapt over the lunging feet of the defender and kept going. The penalty he should have had, he managed to avoid. Felt sorry for Mexico though. Brilliant performance from them.
So I open my emails and find a ATR Tracker alert for a horse that I had totally forgotten about but so glad to see him back out again... Red Merlin makes his long awaited return to the track after some 778 days away due to a few injury concerns these past 12-18 months or so. I had contacted the McCain website for information a year ago or so and was told he had a very sore tendon and would be out for a while. But I figure it was more than just a sore tendon that has seen him miss 2 years of racing...
His form figures for his last 6 races read 111141/ and for many of those wins I was a supporter of him, two of those wins were at very short prices, but it is a horse that I had a lot of faith in when he was at the track. He returns to Uttoxeter in the 4.25 for a 16f Handicap hurdle, where the current fav Azza is coming here from a 108 day break. The opening odds vary from crookie to crookie, and you can get anything from 9/1 to 15/2, but im not bothered about that, im just glad to see him back out on a track again...
4.25 UTT - Red Merlin... Welcome back...![]()

Marquez did make minimal contact with Robben's foot, and if you do that with this guy it's curtains. Once he felt contact, he dived, for sure.
