So we have Big Ron as the manager, Erwin as assistant manager, and Jan Kluitenberg as 'Physical coach' (Fitness coach? Like Nick Harvey used to be?).

Still need to appoint a new GK coach - any ideas who that will be and when it will be announced?

Also heard that Sammy Lee, the ex-Liverpool assistant who was on the verge on joining Hyypia at Brighton, is coming to Saints. A few of the tabloids, and the local Sussex paper have the story.

Thought I would make a thread on this, as there doesn't seem a thread for it already.

Also we will need new u18 academy coaches.
Saints head of media tweeted he is meeting the new intake of scholars tomorrow

Just been reading up about Lee and Brighton. Apparently the club (Brighton) have already announced his appointment, so it will be a bit of a U-turn. Furthermore, Hyypia also appointed Niemi as the GK coach at the Amex. We really could have done with him.

That would have finnished off our coaching team nicely with a club legend

Nah, he's like a person Redknapp would get in. "Old school British coach" = bit of a clogging tosser.

Yep I know, likes to shout a lot. Crook is saying as assistant manager? Thought Koeman's brother was that, unless he will become under 21's manager.

I may be completely wrong by the way, and he's actually a hugely bright, progressive coach.

But there's a memory cog churning slowly in my brain that's telling me that's not the case.

I remember when he was caretaker manager of Bolton, he annoyed me then.

Yeah - one of the things I loved under MP's tenure was our position as a progressive club, one that (like Liverpool are now) was in the process of helping kill off the dinosaurs. Basically the anti-Redknapp.

If we now bring in a dinosaur as assistant manager, I'll be horrified.

Other papers are just saying coaching set up.

You can have as many assistants as you like, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was involved in the first team.
