We got rid of Chris Martin because he was a bit of a dick head and hard to manage but McLaren got him fired up at Derby and his career is very much on the up... If you spent most of your life in N Ireland and Glasgow i`m pretty sure the sun and lifestyle in Sicily would make quite a few lads in their mid 20s want to party, the main thing is Palermo won promotion easily and Lafferty played a big part in that and we bought him to play football and score goals . He will do both of those things for us.... I for one am delighted with this signing.
I don't think you can compare Kyle Lafferty to George Best. I'm pretty sure Lafferty's 24, by the way, not 26 as someone suggested.
Lafferty is 26, born in September 1987. Ballotelli and Barton are dickheads on the pitch. As long as Lafferty does the job on the pitch, I'll have no complaints. It reminds me a bit of when City signed Keith Robson back in the 70s. He'd been a problem player at every previous club, but he was great throughout his career at City. Adams and McNally are no fools - they know what they are doing, and to me it shows that Adams is confident he can handle any situations which arise, if any do.
It must be hard being a huge scary center forward and forced to play in pink.... please log in to view this image
This from the Official site says more about the move than the Palermo President's rather bitter words: http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/20140627-kyle-lafferty-quotes-1696950.aspx He'll join the squad on Tuesday and let's judge him on his actions from then on.
Website suggests only a two year deal? Is that with an option on the club? Fair enough, I didn't realise he was well paid at rangers. I was looking at his Swiss/Italian club. Wouldn't he have taken a pay cut to get out of rangers after they went into admin?
There were some tidy finishes on that video, he looked half decent? If he can replicate that form then he can be a total **** for alli care !
To be fair Holt was a bastard on the pitch, not off it. However, as many have suggested, I don't care how much trouble he causes as long as he scores goals and gets on with his team-mates.
According to the Official site, "The ex-Burnley and Rangers forward has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract at Carrow Road, with an option for a further twelve months".
From the clip he certainly looks a character, there's not alot however to suggest he's a decent player, quite the opposite in fact.
The clip showing him score loads of goals(11 in 34) hints that he is quite good, I have been editing a video of all Norwich`s goals from 2013/ 14 but I`m yet to find a short enough song to go with it.... Here is the RVW goals video 2013/14
Whether Italian ladies or just Norfolk broads If he can sweep them off their feet, With goal scoring exploits to take us forwards Then I´d say he´s well worth the seat.
