I don't think we over paid for Livermore having seen him all last season I would of said in today's market for a good premier league midfielder and still only 24 8-10 million is a fair price , likewise with snodgrass we don't know the details yet if he signs were do you find a winger who plays at this level who scored 7 goals last season for less ?

Well the 6 mill that was supposedly rejected isnt that far off really. Could be something like 7 mill and 1 mill if we escape relegation. The last 3 players we signed had that in the deal. Still daft money, but it isnt necessarily bullshit.

I think better crosses can be made from further out on the diagonal, rather the age old belief you have to 'Get to the byline' Beckham made a lot of diagonal crosses. The byline myth is very British.
 
Got to look at it as decent business, get your targets early. Snodgrass would slot into any bottom half Prem team same as Livermore.
Maybe sounds a bit steep but looking at transfer prices as a whole is David Luiz worth what PSG paid??
If were aiming for mid table then the prices we pay to increase the quality of the squad are going to be higher than ever.
 
What we are starting to get is great strength in depth. Just tried writing down a new first XI with subs but naming the bench was getting a bit tough. Good option for Brucey next year and thats what is important. Could do with a few freebies though.

We are almost going to need two competitive squads with the added games Europe brings.

You need to sort that cough out pal! I think we have set a precedent by paying over the odds for both jelavic and long. I think teams know now that they can give big demands and we will pay.

Probably need a new LB and a few young up-and-comers but you've got a strong Prem team and a Strong Championship/ Low prem team there. And of course you can switch players about.

In that case I'd definitely chuck the extra shrapnel for sigurdsson. He's better, younger, faster, not Scottish and doesn't have a ridiculous moustache. There's more than £2m advantage there, the lack of stupid moustache is worth £2m alone.

£6m for snotarse is ridiculous by the way, £8m is beyond insanity. I really hope if we do get him, it's not for anything remotely close to that.
