Hopefully Real get Falcao. And Barca get Aguero or Higuain.

Two reasons he shouldn't go to Spain
- Messi and CR rule the roosts, while at LFC he's king and yet to taste Anfield CL nights
- Messi, Neymar, CR, Bale, DiMaria are all #7s like Suarez, i.e. who love tucking in from the flank. While Suarez is comfortable as a 9 as well, I think he knows as do we that he's most efficient (and an assist-machine to boot too) when he has space to roam in from the sides.

Very sensible comments Livtor, spoilsport <grr>

I'll make it up to you then, Failsworth lad: I'm hearing that you're successfully keeping hold of your swarthy shifty eyed talisman too.

Thank you sir  (Bradford by birth, Eastlands as it is now known since they built the council house over the pit head).

Eurgh, must be transfer window time with another thread about Suarez <whistle>

I wish we'd just bloody get rid to end the constant threads about him every 6 months <yawn>

Piss poor effort really. Fair point with the first one but the last two are good squad players who have come through the system. Cleverley is nothing like Scholes other than the fact he plays in midfield, Evans is a very good centre half, he is no Vidic but then who is.

ah ha ha ha ha!

that is funny... you really need to pay attention. vidic injuries meant evan played and instantly your defence was awful... and the fact is like it or no you replaced paul shcoles, your very own regista with tom cleverly. don't say you didn't cos that's who's ended up playing and you are god awful.

i replied to the pfhackt that lfc couldn't replace a striker which was patently untrue given torres was replaced by suarez.... glasshouses and throning stones comes to mind...

he just wants his daughter to come home which is fair enough.

funny all these stories have come out after he stuck two fingers up to the english media for getting one other our national team.

50/50 on it myself, he has cl football and a chance to make a name for himself here, he goes abroad it will probably take him a couple of seasons to adapt, depending on which one of the teams he goes 2 as well.

has he ever said he would play for barca? i know real obviously, but i have never seen barca mentioned.

T'is the beginning of the end.. or the middle of the prologue... safe to say, it's only just started..
Very rarely do these things sort themselves out quickly, esp. when there's a World Cup still on...
But if he is to leave, then I for one hope its done quickly and at a deal that is on our terms... (unlikely on the latter, the Spanish Giants do love a good tap-up!)
IMHO, best case scenario is he stays, failing that, I'd like a bit/a lot/some money from them PLUS a quality player...

i agree.. total conspiracy. the english media have nothing to write about seeing they seem to not want to get roy hodgosn the sack so they need something to fill columns.... simple as.

Not sure how it can be a conspiracy when it's got a direct quote from his father in law.

I've not believed the media for years, can't remember how long.

I was adamant he would go last summer. When the window shut and he was still with us, I was convinced he would go this summer. If he goes, he goes and we all move on. If he stays, he stays and we go again.

The only thing that has changed in my mind is my faith in Liverpool Football Club to do what is right for Liverpool Football Club. Henry telling Arsenal to do one despite them meeting a release clause tells me he'd rather face the music than do something that isn't in our favour.

Luis Suarez will not be leaving unless is is right for Liverpool Football Club!

well we can give the a deadline cant we?

say to luis look if they meet our valuation of you in the time frame allowing us to get other players in fair enough, that way he will know we are trying to be reasonable.

i expect them to do the taping up bollocks soon, after all we havent had player comments yet of love to have him in the team etc from barca or real players have we, only ronaldo throwing his toys out the pram.

also shouldn't both teams concentrate on their defences, hardly much wrong with both attacks, although luis will obviously add to it.

I said yesterday, I think the player himself is at the absolute peak of his career. A great WC so far off the back of his best ever season. His stock has never been higher and he may never get another chance to have his pick of the Spanish giants. If an offer does materialise and he says no, he may never get another chance as there's no guarantee he'll repeat next season what he did last.

I would agree that now is the peak of his value so if we want the maximum income from his sale then he will be sold this summer. But it still needs someone to come along and make an offer that is in the best interests of LFC.

One thing I am certain of, he won't be going anywhere in a last minute deal.

That was decided when his new contract was agreed. So what was deemed to be 'fair' to both sides was agreed and that's what you'll get mate.

As for the last minute thing, unless the buyout clause has a time limit i.e. it can only be activated between certain dates within the window, then you can't guarantee that. Albeit, if someone is going to activate it, they might as well do it sooner rather than later, so it's probably a moot point.

Supposedly it was agreed on the old contract too, that's my point. Henry showed last summer that he doesn't give a **** what the contract says.
