I've watched 5 and a half minutes and paused it.

Does anything happen that makes any sense whatsoever? Is it worth me watching the rest?

basically, it's about a blind and deaf man, and the two 'helpers' (perhaps a better word for it) are helping him to experience the world cup using the pitch cut out and gestures and touch, it's very humbling but nothing really happens if you get my drift

a very humbling watch though

He signs (the sign for people who are blind and deaf, I dont know what it is called) the whole game and using the board plays out the game at the same time. When they score its clear that it may have been the first time in his life that he has gotten to "watch" a game.

That explains a lot.

I have no idea how you figured out he was blind and deaf. Just looked like some bizarre hand-holding to me. Also why were they signing the opening ceremony?

I have seen it done before in person once.

I think they were just trying to give him the whole experience.
