CTWD - Statement on club badge

They have a website, they could have used the various forums or approached fans groups..

All better than no consultation and slipping out the news at 5:30am along with lies and half truths I suggest.

Especially knowing full well they were back tracking on a stated promise of consulting.
 
everton changed their badge and listened to the fans and consulted them on a new badge design for this season, not difficult

this new badge is horrendous, what's with the shield? would rather have just the tigers head.. it's such a shame the way he's changing it though

Why not just 'disappointed'. The added adjective is subjective.

Historically, the name on the badge is only a recent addition over the last 40 years more or less so is not an intrinsic part of the identity on the kit.

Every action AA takes now (and I want to make it clear he 's no favourite of mine) is instantly criticised not because of those actions but just because it's him (for example if Adam Pearson had changed the badge to this design no one would have objected because of the faux-messianic status he commanded amongst fans).

CTWD need to offer an olive branch of some sort to the old git and try and repair the relationship, not easy I know, and good luck with that.

I don't remember anybody complaining when he put his hand in his pocket for players or the new training facilities.

People are complaining because they are sick and tired of his lies, half truths, broken promises, insults, head games, and generally treating the fans of our club like ****.
 
my only concern is that in the CTWD statement , it was made as a collective opinion , the members wern't consulted nor where our opinions canvassed .


in the media there is a mixed take on how fans are reported to be reacting .
Some say the fans are angry at the change / dropping of the words
some say the fans are angry at not being consulted

CTWD members voted in a committee to represent them, that committee has a mandate to act on behalf of it's members. On big decisions, such as the formation of a supporters trust, then all members will be consulted, but it's obviously not practical to consult with members on every single decision/press release.

With any new logo, there will be people who approve and people who don't, it's down to personal taste, but the big issue here is not the badge itself, it's the removal of the club name from everything and the lack of consultation with fans about everything that is going on.

So he changed the badge, big deal. We still have a tiger on it and at least he didn't stick "Hull Tigers" on it. Always find something to complain about.

Rather than undermine the Allams and publicly slate every single "action" they do, why don't CTWD try and work along side the allams!

Have you ever thought that the allams are being like this because CTWD have caused most of this mess with petitions and publicly slating them, he is a man of power and has his millions why the f**k is he going to listen to some gob ****es who think they're better than him from a small village in the east riding!

Dear me, it's daft. CTWD do not represent me, they are cocky b4stards who are more bothered about gaining publicity/attention to themselves rather than the club and the MAJORITY of it's supporters.

Fair enough , thanks for clearing that concern up i had :)

myself , my beef is the promised consultation that never happened - especially in light of the way many prominent groups/supporters feel in Allams opinion of the fans .
He had the chance to be open and listening.

My head is not up anyone's arse. I appreciate everything they have done since buying the club, from saving it from administration to getting Steve Bruce and investing millions on decent players.

Attempting to change the name with no consultation?

Lying about not changing the name?

Lying about the benefits of changing the name, or at least not proving those benefits were possible?

Releasing a loaded poll in order to blackmail people into voting for either a name change or them leaving?

Changing the badge with no consultation, despite promising the fans he would consult?
