I was going to say a bit like yourself until I realized that sometimes they are useful and you are clearly not. Suspect you bat from the gasworks end. Oh well time to move on.
I disagree, I think he had one of his best seasons this year and is the best at playing the quarter-back roll for England.
He's maybe not quite the player he was, but then doesn't play the game that he did. However, I'd like someone to name a superior English player for that position.
Ouch..! I must admit, I don't think Poch did himself any favours at all. I'm not going to defend him for a second, but he did say that if Cortese left then there would be little point in him staying. Having said that, he also said that there was no question of him leaving, when asked, after Cortese actually did leave and the dust had settled. He then batted back questions as to his future by saying that he had a year left on his contract and that it was upto Southampton as to whether he would be staying or not. Whether he meant it to convey the idea or not, it certainly said to people that he would stay if Southampton were willing to back him, at the very least. Well, Saints were willing to back him, and very well too. The bitter-sweet after taste was Poch strolling around the St Mary's pitch, with the players, soaking up the adoration from the Saints crowd. He was properly loved, in a different way to Nigel Adkins. Adkins was loved because he was honest, true and positive. Poch was loved because he was young, good looking and brilliant. Sadly, he wasn't entirely honest, and that sticks in the throat of Saints fans. I suspect there is going to be oodles of poison lurking for when he returns. Instead of chants of Nigel Adkins Red & White Army, for when He returned with Reading, Poch will get something a little less flattering, if he's still in place. He's going to wonder why and how the Saints crowd can be so inventive. If there's one thing he should know it's that he allowed the fans to love him before appearing to kick them in the teeth. Whether he likes it of not. Whether it is fair or not, it won't be forgotten.
Steven Gerrard should retire from international football to save him the embarrassment of being axed.
But we don't need a quarter back. We needed a CDM who could stop the opposition and then give it simple. WE have Cork and Victor at Saints for that. England don't need someone spraying balls everywhere like a quarter back.
Gerrard is a very told player now past his best, but he didn't get us knocked out of the WC on his own. We are an ok side who tried but lacked a Suarez. I was never up for this WC and Saints issues finished off any interest I had. Shame for the team that they couldn't gain the confidence by progressing, but it's the Europeans that will interest me. I'd stick with Hodgson and at least see how the qualifiers go.
Or you can isolate the cause and block the poster. Given the quality of his contribution, I promise you won't be missing much.
But it's such a great opportunity to appear like a know-it-all. Anyway, no one REALLY cares about England. We only watch them for the **** & giggles.
Of all the things CBK says that you could take opposition to, this is the one people choose? Some of you lot wouldn't have a good time in Australia. ****. If you don't like the look of that, there's a swearing filter.
Quite the opposite. I believe that you should always speak your mind, don't sugar coat things or compromise your opinions/feelings just for the sake of what other people might think or believe. Doesn't mean I shout in people's faces in the "real world" or I'm rude or abusive for no reason. This is just the internet, if you can't speak from the gut on here, where can you eh?
