We've arranged a pre-season game against Schalke at WHL on Saturday August 9th at 5.30pm.
This will probably see the return of Kevin-Prince Boateng to the Lane, as well as a visit for Julian Draxler, who revealed today that he'd turned down a move to the Goons.

Which one will be booed....?

Ian Wright's wife and children were taken hostage by knife-wielding burglars while he was doing some punditry in Brazil.
They separated them, putting his missus in one room and his daughters in another. They must've been terrified.
Utter scumbags. Hope they do some serious time when they get caught, but they'll probably get a slap on the wrist.

"There are some thick people on Twitter"

As a BBC poll tax payer, I would be happy for them to fly radiator Phil
out to Brasil for a couple of days as recompense for the abuse.

Tim Sherwood: West Brom offered me the manager's job

Tim Sherwood says West Bromwich Albion offered him the manager's job - but a final agreement could not be reached.

The former Tottenham boss, 45, said he "provisionally" accepted and began negotiations with the club.
Everton academy director Alan Irvine was announced as West Brom's new manager last week, replacing Pepe Mel.

Writing in The Independent, Sherwood said: "The longer it went on, the more I doubted whether it was the right job for me."
The former Norwich, Blackburn Rovers and Spurs midfielder said: "I went up to speak to them a couple of times and they offered me the job.
"West Brom are a good club and I wish them every success.
"It has not changed my outlook. I want to get back into the game. I believe I have a lot to offer."

Albion chairman Jeremy Peace said the decision to hire former Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday manager Irvine, 55, was not about money.
He said: "It was a case of who the best candidate was and we chose Alan.

"If it had been a case of Tim Sherwood coming in with Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand, that would have been fine," added Peace.
"There would have been no problem with it in terms of finances. I'm sure we would have agreed a package with them."

Ferdinand's expertise must have been at too high a price for West Brom!

Gerry Conlon dies at 60

If you have not seen the film In The Name Of The Father you should watch it.

A good lesson in why we need to be sceptical and inform ourselves rather than rely on the media.
