Not too upset with that to be honest. I thought we played better than our efforts against decent teams in 2010 or 2012 and I actually enjoyed watching us play. That level should be enough to beat Costa Rica and Uruguay.

Rooney's finishing was pretty **** today. He did make a good cross to assist Sturridge's goal though in his defence.

Fair enough, because Rooney always get the blame for every defeat even though some of the England players were crap tonight, he was played out of position tonight and i thought he did ok in my opinion.

With England playing so many RS players I didn't have too many expectations. But you would have thought that the RS fans would be very supportive of the England team as a whole.

But no all they can see are the RS players playing really well and united players Welbeck and Rooney playing ****. They are so damn deluded and think Gerrard, Johnson and Henderson played fantastic <doh>

Well Gerrard had a quiet game, Henderson did not have his best game and Johnson was rubbish.but trust the ******ed f**king RS fans to pick on Rooney and Welbeck. Shows how much they know about football. <ok>

Gary Cahill cost us the game, he looks at Balotelli and there's no one else in the box to mark and he totally ignores him. Fair enough it was a very good ball, but Cahill needs to be getting tighter. You'd think all that parking the bus for Chelsea, that he would learn how to defend properly!

Rooney also didn't have a great game, it's about time we properly ripped into him. He's regarded as a world class footballer but he never delivers. We have had our pants taken down with the 300k a week we are now paying him. The guys never even won a golden boot in countless seasons, yet we pay him so much. We'd of been better off selling that fat scouse mercenary to Chelsea, but instead we're lumbered with paying him an extortionate amount of money for the next 5 years. There are so many better players than him

It was a collective defeat Christian, if not sing the praises of Sterling as MoM.

Agree that sterling was the outstanding player.

This is exactly my point. The RS fans are giving the united players Welbeck and Rooney stick. All the players have to take responsibility. For the RS fans to give only united players stick is just plain deluded.

Were the only **** players the united ones? Far from it...<ok>

Like I said Johnson was crap, but so was Rooney, its like even though its admitted an LFC player was bad it can't be said of a Utd player, defeat is collective and those not pulling their weight will be told as much in the dressing room.

Sterling had a good game but apart from that the Liverpool players where poor. Gerrard is an embarrassment in his his new deep lying playmaker role, he was outclassed from start to finish by Pirlo. England needed a proper midfield player in there, like a Paul Scholes, not a runner like Henderson, and an old clapped out runner like Gerrard

Care to reveal all your assessments of the England players?

Its not as balanced as you'd have us believe.
