Not necessarily, Given the worse scenario of relegation then we must look to the future. Expansion at the liberty is a white elephant and not worth the expense. We are so well run now that we are more likely to stay in the premiership than not. Clubs who are badly run and try and buy themselves out of trouble have more chance of relegation every time. We need to start planning for future years and go down the road of eventually leaving the liberty and going on our own. The liberty is fine as it is for the foreseeable future but it is restricting us from ever expanding to a level we want and if we are going to spend millions towards expanding the liberty over the next 3-5 years because that is the minimum time that it will take to build a bypass and parking facilities to accommodate 2,3,4 or 5 thousand extra seats and there is no way the residents and shops at white rock would allow progress to start until then, And remember it is us who will have to fund it and it will cost millions. We are in a catch 22 situation where we will be losing millions in revenue over the next few years because we need to expand and we cant expand because of where the liberty is that has so many restrictions that for us to overcome that will also cost us millions...We need to sit down and look for an alternative plan and start looking towards building our own stadium and not increase it by 2,3,4 or 5,000 but 10,000 that will take us up to 30,000+...we will never get that at the liberty as there is not the room...

Apologies to those who wanted to discuss your own stadium on your own thread. I only posted on it to ask a civil question as to the way forward in the future with your expansion, but it seems it's not possible to join in over here without someone trying to score points.

Thanks for the link PGF. We've seen and noted all that info before - do you think you're the only one with internet access? Not sure what your trying to prove posting it other than the fact that the CCS is wholly owned by the club through it's holding company - many thanks for that. The Wiki page is quite correct in stating the ownership, although it obviously upsets you to read something you don't want to see.

You're dead right though - Wiki can be edited by anyone - if JH can do it I'm sure you can. So why don't you go into it and edit the real truth about the stadium ownership from the info you quote? We'll all have a look later when you've finished it. <ok>

In the meantime, carry on discussing your own stadium guys - sorry I asked my question if it's going to derail your thread.

Mostly Breezy - but I did comment on this thread when it was first posted and just returned to say "good news for you" and to ask a decent question as to where you see it all going.

Didn't need the CCS comment, but had to answer it when it was posted. Honestly wish I hadn't bothered mate.

I'm just used to your stealth wumming. Were you not implying that Cardiff City Football Club had a 125 year lease on the land and had acquired the stadium on it - you even tried to prove ownership by posting the link to wikipedia - (do you think you're the only one with internet access?) <laugh>

Or are you now accepting the fact that Legoland is leased by Cardiff City FC (Holdings) Limited, whose many shareholders include everyone bar Cardiff City Football Club <laugh>

The situation is different in Swansea and we do not have to pursue the same route as yourselves - especially as the Club has to keep it's options open as to moving to a totally new site.

PGF - this is becoming an embarrassment for you pal. Talk about splitting hairs!!........<laugh> ......Stealth wummer..........<laugh><laugh>

It's not difficult to see where this is going and it won't be me taking it there - this thread should be about The Liberty, but here we go for hopefully the last time about something nothing to do with your discussion.

Cardiff City FC Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cardiff City Football Club (Holdings) Ltd which owns 100% of its' share capital. The Holding company is controlled by Vincent Tan who at the last filing date held just over 51% of its' share capital. At that time only Mike Isaac, Paul Guy and Steve Borley (CMB) had any significant holdings in excess of 5%, the rest were minority shareholders.

Since then, the list of people/organisations that owned share capital in the holdings company shown in that link has become historic. Tan has purchased the shares of the majority of them, and had by April of this year acquired just over 90% of the Holdings company share capital from the other holders.

He controls the Football Club Ltd, Cardiff City Stadium Ltd which has now been proposed to be struck off as the only remaining director is now Steve Borley who was charged by the board to see out the Stadium expansion, and the overall Holding Company. Effectively Tan has total control over all the decision making and assets of the group , and that includes the Stadium.

The Stadium is wholly owned by the club (via the Holding company, viz at this point Vincent Tan), subject to a 125 year lease on the land granted by the City Council.

Get your facts up to date PGF before your own "stealth wumming" bites you on the arse....oops, it already did.........<laugh>

Your at it again. Cardiff City Football Club own Jack S*** <laugh> They are tens of millions of pounds in debt and it is the creditors, fronted by companies who own the Stadium and Club.

Who cares about Cardiff's stadium? There will be more people visiting the car sales place just down the road than bother watching a lower league team <laugh>
