So many things I could say to that! But I won't.

Good luck to him, good to see a footballer wanting regular games opposed to sitting on bench picking up premierahip salary. Would of happily had him stay as a starter in domestic cups and on bench in league.

Like others have said lets get a young pacey forward on loan.

good championship player - not good enough for the Prem - too slow, needs too many touches - that's why he's gone to Forest and no other Prem team wanted him - why anyone on here thinks he's a loss is beyond me - thanks for the memories, time to move on

Not really considering 2 of their other options are Aluko and Sagbo. Those 2 nearer anyone's first team would make any fan sad.

sorry that he,s gone and I wish him all the best been a true pro while he's been with us.

The small comfort I take is that he's gone to a championship club rather than a PL club.

Still think he's taking a big chance going to a team with a history of blowing it when

push come to shove in the championship, there recent history awful.

still all the best matty and thanks, good luck .

Was good for us but his time has come.

Also don't agree we are that short up top either. Four front line strikers does you. If a bargain loan becomes available then fair enough, but our limited transfer budget needs to be invested elsewhere.

Posted it before but the kid at Scunny scored a lot and is a free agent. I'd take a punt on someone like him. Relatively cheap wages no signing on fee.

Decent move for him. Hope he does well at Forest.

Wonder if this is just to appease his missus, considering she moved back down that way, from round these parts, cos she didn't like it. But that's football for you.

Can't fault him for his commitment to City. Wasn't always played and must've been frustrating. His goals in the cup were special & i'm sure everyone will remember his contribution to a memorable season.

    Good luck.

I'd say we are, only goalscorer at the club is Jelavic. He gets injured, then what?

Long, Sagbo and Aluko are all brilliant in their own ways but none of them has that nack of getting into the goal scoring positions and being in the right place at the right time.

I think it leaves us stretching Jelavic to do the business for us on both the league and European fronts which will be a big ask, with no goalscorer to bring on when he gets nackered, and the domestic cup sides lacking a focal point.

Another goalscorer is a must in my opinion.

28 year old English striker with 1 in 3 career scoring record including 6 in 18 last season.

I think Bruce will be gutted to lose him since an equal replacement will cost millions which reduces his budget for other areas of the squad.

I would not be surprised if Allams unwilling to meet Fryatts signing on fee demands. Given that we allowed his contract to run down I am not surprised Fryatt chose to leave as I think he possibly felt under valued.

Personally I put him up there with Long and Jelavic and I'm sad to see him leave.

Good luck to him and thanks for the goals, of which there were plenty!

Looks like they've remembered those two match winners he stuck past them at the City Ground when we won 1-0 in successive seasons in 10/11 and 11/12, the first one being their first home loss in about 18 months.

One of the best away days in recent years as their cocky fans didn't rate us at all before the match. This was Nigel Pearson's team at their best , standing firm away and then converting their one chance expertly, and in this case right in front of about 4,000 travelling delirious fans as he rolled it into the corner thro the defender's legs.

Good to see the know-nowt turds who had rubbished his quality silenced by SB and by MF's recent displays- he was still our top scorer despite his lack of minutes on the pitch.

Thanks for the goals Matty Fryattt and all the best.

His replacement will be Bendtner, free agent and the wages from Matty and Prozzy will cover what he wants

Such a punt would do for me. I think Brucie likes a punt.

Just don't think we can afford to be buying another goalscorer when other positions need strengthening as a priority. We were winning games without a goalscorer first half of the season.

Absolutely gutted. By far my favourite player of the last 4 years. I was a huge fan when he played for Walsall and Leicester. Over the moon when he signed for us. Then I met him last year 2 days before I almost got killed by a car. Just gutted! Good luck Matty

Which is exactly why it's such a shame he's gone.

I'd say goalscorers are more important than other positions. I'd make signing one a priority.

I wonder if Bruce has put much thought into striker targets. I'd imagine so, they always have plenty of avenues to explore, but he did sound very confident of retaining Fryatt. I wonder who he'll bring in to replace him, what he said the other week suggested if Fryatt left we'd be after another striker.

Being reminded of that Forest away match, made me realise what he was like. Pity he lost some of it. I wish him well.

    All these rose tinted glasses.
I'm so glad to see the back of him.
If we want to be taken seriously in the BPL, we have to get rid of all the dead wood.
SB needs to buy well in summer window.
I wonder if the scout that told him about Prossy and Sagbo still has a job at the club.
