I am delighted to announce the signing of Matty Fryatt on a 3 year contract. He is a player this club has admired for many years

If true, a big thanks to Matt Fryatt.

Hope the move works out for him.

That's not surprising. They seem to have been linked with him every window since he's been here.

Anyway yeah, thanks to Matty he's been a great servant but he's made the right decision to move and get first team football and I think it'll work out better for us too.

Thanks Matthew.

Shame we couldn't keep him and I'm guessing some of our budget will be stretched to get a new striker option now but this is a good move for him.

Although he was as good as guaranteed plenty of game time next season, lots of games for him to feature in.

crap would of thought he might have pushed Jela out the team next season...hope weve got someone else lined up

Good luck Super Matt, he's done the right thing for his career though.

Does leave us with a bit of a hole in the squad up top once you look past long and jela now.

Im sad to see him go.

Same here. With our europe commitments he would have got plenty of game time next season. clearly he wants to be 1st choice and playing every week so best wishes to him and thanks for everything Matty. We need a good replacement now though.

We'll now need another striker and we won't want to spend big on a proven one, so I wonder if we'll now go for someone young and exciting from a lower league or abroad?

or a loan maybe? We would be better off spending our capital in other areas but those wages are now free for a decent loan striker.
