If I get the job, I will order Lallana to shave his beard off so he doesn't act like a dick anymore. I will also sell Cropper for 1billion pounds.

I have an honest question that just occured to me. Who is selling your players if you dont have a manager to say what players they want to keep or get rid of? In fact, according to Wikipedia, you only have one coach left for the senior team, so who's making the decisions?

We've only sold one player. No-one else has left or will leave until the new manager is in.

I don't think the goalkeeping coach would have had much say in transfers in or out anyway!

OMG, My first ever post! I've lurked on here for years, but never really had much to say. Does anyone know about Thomas tuchel's availability? Sky reported a couple of weeks ago that differences have been settled and he's now available, but doesn't seem to have been linked with saints. Shame as I think he's the ideal candidate.

Good man, keep posting. As far as I'm aware Tuchel left the Mainz job because he actually wanted to take a year away from football. Considering the ridiculous hours managers work it could just be that he wasn't seeing his family enough or something. Unless his mind can be changed by an amazing offer, he's probably not an option. I believe he has expressed an interest in managing in the Prem before though, and even has a degree in something like Anglistics, so he really does sound perfect.

Welcome. Hopefully this place proves to be as effective a way to spend the time meant for working for you as it does for the rest of us.

As for Tuchel, the rumours are confusing and there are claims he's not fully released or atleast cant sign on anywhere else without Mainz's go ahead. Even if he was clear to sign anywhere its been reported he wants a year off from coaching so we're not getting him in any case. It's a shame because as you said he's a very promising coach with a philosophy similar to saints.

(You can still get 25-1 on Bruce if you fancy it. The bet that is, not big Steve).

Steve Bruce? That is an interesting one. I like him as a manager, but it would be a strange move.

Much rather koeman than Bruce (not that I mind Bruce particularly). I'm unusually lacking positivity about big Ron, though. I think we need a young manager and I like the bielsa method, but I'm not entirely sure who I would actually pick!

Would be a sideways move for Bruce.

    Runs!

Can we stop mentioning Tuchel? I'm just getting miserable that we've not got him.

Who's Tuchel? I've heard Tuchel is a very good manager. It would be a shame if we didn't get Tuchel.

Sorry, dan, just watched a few Mainz games last season and thought they were excellent. Shame that he's not available.

If we were limited to just English managers, like Bruce would absolutely be my choice. I've been a little fan of his a long while now.

But we're not limited to just English managers.
